Brady the Choke Artist

After taking the league by surprise several years ago with unbelievable defense and an amazing knack for video surveillance, what has happened to the Patriots as of late? I mean when it counts, in the postseason. Brady has looked rather pedestrian in his postseason success as of late, if you want to hold him to the standard of the best according to his own fan base. Look at the past three years.

  1. Brady falls to Denver in a game that featured him throwing an interception at the goal line, gift wrapped to Champ Bailey. Season over.
  2. Brady bows to the Colts. One last drive, ended by a perfect pass to a wide open Marlin Jackson. Thanks, Tom. Season over.
  3. Brady concedes to Peyton's little brother. Needing only a field goal with thirty seconds and all three timeouts, Brady typifies his performance by underthrowing Randy Moss, who ran a perfect deep route. That one should have been the ball game. As it stands, Eli is the one who shows greatness under pressure, sending Tommy boy home. Game over.
The last three rings: Ben Roethlisberger, Peyton Manning and Eli Manning.

Nah
ESPN says brady is the best football player in the history of the game and best human ever created. They are experts son. The fact that brady has done jackshit the last 3 playoffs is meaningless. Got to go by the media. They know all. :)

Anyone who still goes by this Brady big-game qb crap is living in a dreamworld. If he didn't have the D and luck he had in those 3 SB winning years years he'd probably have 0 SB rings. 3 straight playoff exits now where he did nothing great.

Is he a great Qb? Of course. Is he anywhere close to the media hype? HELL NO. Even Peyton isn't as good as the hype they give Brady and Manning is clearly better than Brady.

What I find amusing is all the people who act like Brady is unflappable when pressured and he picks blitzes apart despite the fact he has shown he STINKS the last few years when pressured. Then again, the same people who say this shit still act like Peyton gets "happy feet" when pressured despite the fact some of his best play/throws the last couple seasons (and more specifically in the playoffs. hello, he was blitzed like crazy on that game winning afc champ drive last season and then the sweet throw to wayne int he SB when he was being hit) have happened when he was under pressure. I have no clue who the best qb is under pressure but there is NO DOUBT Manning is superior to Brady now in this regard. Manning was pressured a lot vs the Chargers and slapped up 400 yards and 3 TDs. Manning in the 05 playoff loss to the Steelers was pressured as much as Brady and STILL did better than Brady did last night. That is what i find amusing. All these articles about how the Pats OL was junk and talking about the pressure yet when the Colts got the SAME pressure vs the Steelers nobody mentioned it and it was all Peyton's fault. WHY DOES THE MEDIA HAVE THIS DOUBLE STANDARD. Sheesh

The media simply can't see reality and goes by history of 4+ years ago. I bet Peyton could win the next 2 SBs getting here by beating NE in the playoffs and having to be pressured every game and we'd STILL hear all the Brady crap about how amazing he is, how he owns the Colts, etc. Brady somehow has a pass for the rest of his career because of 3 friggin SB rings and his whole career will be defined by those. He could do NOTHING for the next 6 seasons but the media will still spew forth the same rhetoric because of those 01, 03, 04 seasons. LAME. Get out of living in the past and see reality.

Next Year, the Pats Will Go 0-16
And ESPN will say everyone but Tom Brady blew every game.
