Jets look at Utecht.

Is Ben going anywhere?

The New Yawk Jets might be a good place for him. The article also states that he has visited with Cincinnati.

My only question is this: he is a restricted free agent. If he doesn't sign with another team, how much do the Colts have to pay him this year?

IF he does go, perhaps we should get a tight end in the 2nd round? Hmmm.  Thoughts?

I told you all he could play
84% and 70% those are the percentage of passes to him he's caught in the last two seasons, the only seasons he's had more the 20 passes thrown to him.
He fumbled twice, the whole year, that's not ideal but far from enough to think it was anything more than bad luck.

Utecht blocks very well and is a very reliable target in the passing game. I hope that no team makes him anything more than a small matchable offer, especially since the Colts would receive no draft pick compensation for him.

Are you sure
Did he fumble twice or turn it over twice?  I remember at least 2 fumbles by him last year that didn't result in turnovers. One went out of bounds and one was recovered by the Colts.

I don't hate too hard on Utecht, but this is an example of how the stats don't necessarily tell the story.  I've never seen a player run more upright than him.  Every time he touches the ball, he is an injury/fumble waiting to happen.  That being said, I agree that he is fairly solid.  However, he never has materialized into the player I'd hoped he be when we signed him.

I'd say I'm neither...
I like Utecht and would welcome him back but at the same time I wouldn't be too upset if he left.

Everytime he caught the ball during a game I'd let out a " HOLD ON TO THE BALL!!" or everytime he was tackled it seemed like he got hurt so, I'm somewhere in between the vote choices.

I agree
He doesn't inspire strong feelings in me one way or the other. If he stays, fine. If he goes, I'm sure he will be adequately replaced.

Led the team in near-decapitations
Anybody notice how often Utecht almost gets his head twisted off when he gets hit. I mean everyone who takles him grabs him by the head and brings him down.....anybody else notice this?
