McKinney Released

Seth McKinney was just released by the Texans today. I know he suffered a knee injury last year, but if we can sign him to a low dollar contract I think he would be a great fit for a system considering that he spent his first four years in the league playing for the Colts. Depth is very important at O-line and I think McKinney could provide that.

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors.

I dont know
he did come from the Texans and they are known for having a pretty bad o-line. But then again I dont know much about the guy so I'll trust your judgment.

Hmmm...
No harm in bringing him into training camp I suppose. He's depth at best though, and I'd feel more comfortable with use drafting depth instead of signing it, especially someone as washed up as McKinney

Do We Need Him?
I don't think we need an old guard through free agency.  I'd rather take an undrafted free agent than him.

Why not
take a flyer on him like we did last year with DeMulling. He knows Mudd, he knows the system, if he can help -- great. If not he gets cut.
