A stupid question

How do you guys feel we'll use Mike Hart? I mean, will he split the carries with Addai, or do like KK did last season, or will be the 3rd back behind KK? Addai struggled a bit in the end of last season, so adding depth was really a big need. But will he be more than just depth? Can we run some kind of 2 RB set, or that would be flat out stupid?

hopefully..

They cut KK and Mike Hart takes his backup spot. Perhaps they will keep Clifton Dawson to be the third stringer.

if Hart can pass block

he should be the primary backup.
Not quite the workload Rhodes got, but closer to that than Keith’s last year. (120-180)
Dawson wasn’t impressive either so I don’t care which one they cut.

Fair enough, as long as Keith doesn’t step back onto the field (which he shouldn’t according to the latest fanpost I made) I’ll be happy.

Btw, I think Hart’s blocking abilities was one of his strong points. At least, that’s what all of the analysts said.

hart can definitely pass block

even though he’s small. oh the joys of watching michigan beat my nittany lions every year…

I hope KK gets cut…and I still say getting Rhodes from Oakland is a good option since they’ll be looking to unload a RB or two after picking up McFadden.

KK

Polian and Dungy said they are happy with both Addai and Keith in their pre-draft interview, but were mum on Dawson. So I think we’ll be saying bye-bye to the Ivy League’s all-time leading rusher. As long as we don’t count on KK to catch the freaking football, I don’t mind him on the roster.

Hart

will be a primary backup for a year or two and slowly progress into a position where he splits carries with Addai. Hart is a good receiver and pass blocker, so he will almost certainly be used as the primary backup, especially in passing situations.
