Sporting News Cover

Has anyone seen this??
You all know I am a Pats Fan (insert insults here)
but when I saw the March cover of this magazine I had to shake my head in dismay --The headline reads --"Losing -How we all cope with coming out on the short end" and then there is a picture of Reggie Wayne with his knees on the ground and head to the turf ---WHY??
Why not a player from an actual LOSING team?? Why not a player from a team that doesn't consistently make the playoffs,or a team that doesn't have a great quarterback? To put Reggie Wayne on the cover entitled LOSING is kinda ridiculous...It's like titling the cover BAD QUARTERBACKs and then showing Manning, Brady, Favre, Aikman, and Montanna in a group hug....Just seems a little ridiculous to me. If they were doing an in depth story about how players cope with losing, then why not cover it with one of the Pats after the SB --that loss alone sums up the feeling of losing it all.....
Sorry -- I haven't posted anything in a while, and even though the Colts are far from my favorites I respect the players who make up a great team...not a losing one...

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors.

There has to be a sadder picuture of some
NFL player they could have used. Either that's the best picture they had or someone high up there wants to keep pushing the Colts Choke idea.

I guess
they wanted to use someone who expects to win and is disappointed in loss rather than someone who expects to lose and is surprised by victory. I'm just glad to say that my team is one of the NFL's most elite teams, as are the Patriots.

After all, I could be a Lions fan. Detroit, where draft day is anticipated like a trip to the dentist for a root canal, and heavy sedation is desired. I guess some are better at coping with loss than others are, being so experienced at it.

Thanks for the diary, One More.

If Anything
The Patriots Super Bowl or another huge upset or a team knocked out of the playoff race would be a better one.

Question
Was Reggie Wayne interviewed in the article on losing? That would make the cover make sense.
