You mean this Jerod Mayo
The #1 ranked MLB in the draft and projected late 1st early second round pick.
http://www.newerascouting.com/profiler/viewprofile.php?id=116

he's #22 overall

Kiper was raving about him on the last ESPN podcast too. Late 1st rounder. Too bad, he would kill as a Tampa-2 MLB

I think you read about him here.
http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/ilb/jerodmayo.html

It looks like they put the wrong draft round on the profile since he's listed by them as the #2 MLB right between a 1st rounder and 2nd-3rd rounder here

I like the rest
Maybe Jacob Tamme in that spot, even though he duplicates Clark/Fletcher. Or bump up Legursky, I've seen him rated 5th-6th round. Lichtensteiger from Bowling Green would be another good choice for a center available in that area.

backup QB?
what happened to Bernard Morris? i want him in the blue and white

by skywalker on Apr 7, 2008 5:50 PM EDT up reply actions

I liked the Center pick over backup QB
I'll go with
2-RB Chris Johnson
3-DE Marus Howard
4-OG Robert Felton
5-WR Arman Sheilds
6a-DE Rudolph Hardie
6b-C Kory Lichtensteiger
6c-FB Jacob Hester
6d-OT Thaddeus Coleman
7-QB Bernard Morris

Like the one I did based off the DraftTek mock but being optimistic about a few guys falling a half round.

I like
this is our best bet for mock draft i believe

by skywalker on Apr 7, 2008 6:04 PM EDT up reply actions

Best possible result
If the Colts get Johnson AND Howard AND Lictensteiger AND Hardie, there are the pass rushers so important this draft, Jeff Saturday's replacement (though I think the Colts will--and should--extend him) and a hybrid RB/WR freak with insane possibilities.  Words cannot express the excitement.
The fault, dear Brutus, lies not in the stars, but in ourselves.

In my excitement
Even if BBS is right, and it's Forte, not Johnson, that's still great.  I like Lictensteiger for the center over the Marshall guy.

Agreed
I hope we get Lictensteiger as well.

I want
Forte or Johnson, Howard, Brown, and Hardie, Morris, and Shields.  All of those picks would make me a happy fan.

wait
Do you think Jerod Mayo is going to go in the 6th round? I'm not sure the guidelines of these posts, but if so, you're smoking smoething very crazy BBS.

More like early to mid first rounder. 6th? Where you coming up with this stuff.

i mean
Not to be disrespectful, but that's beyond head scratching. The SEC's leading tackler from a year ago in Round 6?
