Peter King - "Indy will get 2012 Super Bowl"
From Peter King's MMQB on SI.com -
"4. I think the worst-kept secret in the NFL is that Indianapolis will get the 2012 Super Bowl when owners meet in Atlanta this week. Indy deserves it. The city lost the 2011 game to Dallas, 17 votes to 15, and there's always been a strong feeling toward new stadiums in cities that have enough hotel rooms and are weatherproof. All domed stadiums in northern cities eventually get one Super Bowl. It happened at the Metrodome, the Silverdome and Ford Field, and the Colts are in line to get the first one ever played in Indiana."

I
for one would be shocked if we don’t get the Super Bowl.

New weatherproof stadium...
...big city, lots of hotels. It’d be a pretty blatant snuff if Indy didn’t get it.

if
we keep playing like we’ve been playing then we could be the first team to play a superbowl at home. but thats still 4 years away :P

The 2012 Colts
I thought of this yesterday. Who will be left? Peyton, Reggie, Gonzalez, Clark, Ugoh, Lilja, Freeney, Sanders, Bethea, Snow, and Pollack are the only people I am sure will be left. Addai could be gone by then. Marvin, Saturday, Diem, Vinatieri, and Dungy will be retired. The rest might all have left via free agency. This team will have a big change over the next 5 years. Of course, I expect nothing to change in the win-loss collumn as long as we’ve got a Polian running the show.

Polian?
Did you mean Peyton? For all the good Polian is at the draft, we don’t know if we’ll get anything anywhere near what Manning is for us.

Bill or Chris
I meant Polian. As long as we have a Polian, I think we will have the necessary talent to win.

Actually
Correct me if I am wrong, but this is for the Super Bowl that will be held in February 2012, so that would be the 2011 season. Don’t know if that changes anything much, but it is a thought.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with the players, owners and the NFL by then
The current CBA expries in 2011 so if negotiations stretch into the final hours - as most negotiations seem to do - it’ll most likely be a season and a Super Bowl to remember, just like we refer to the salary cap years, 2011-2012 could be the start of a new era.
Keep the faith!

Oh Yeah
Well, it still doesn’t change much. I still think that the linebackers and cornerbacks will be gone along with a lot of the fantasy positions.

Might Be A Moot Point
Owners opted out of the CBA, as expected. 2011 season could be locked out. Now I think that everything will eventually work itself out, but it is an interesting possibility…

Never Thought Of That
We would just get the 2013 Super Bowl, but I think it is moot because there is no way there won’t be a deal done by 2011.
