Your 2008 Indianapolis Colts (2nd try)
My first prediction lasted a few days before Gandy being cut proved me wrong. I've waited on the one big possible signing (Colvin) to give it a last shot before camp. Here it is:
QB Peyton Manning, Jim Sorgi
RB Joseph Addai, Dominic Rhodes, Mike Hart
FB Gijon Robinson
TE Dallas Clark, Jacob Tamme, Tom Santi
WR Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Anthony Gonzalez, Roy Hall, Pierre Garcon
OT Tony Ugoh, Ryan Diem, Dan Federkiel
OG Ryan Lilja, Mike Pollak, Charlie Johnson, Jamey Richard
OC Jeff Saterday, Steve Justice
DE Dwight Freeney, Robert Mathis, Marcus Howard, Josh Thomas, Curtis Johnson
DT Ed Johnson, Raheem Brock, Quinn Pitcock, Keyunta Dawson, Darrell Reid
OLB Freddy Keiaho, Tyjuan Hagler, Clint Sessions, Ramon Guzman
MLB Gary Brackett, Phillip Wheeler
CB Marlin Jackson, Kelvin Hayden, Dante Hughes, Tim Jennings, TJ Rushing, Micheal Coe
S Bob Sanders, Antonie Bethea, Matt Giordano, Brandon Condren,
K Adam Vinatieri
P Hunter Smith
LS Justin Snow
Kick Coverage Specialist: Jamie Silva
I doubt Jacob Tamme and Tom Santi are ready to play major time in the early part of the season, so I think they'll go to the more experienced Gijon Robinson when they want to change up the personnel from the base 3 WR.
Borderline/Practice Squad
WR Devin Aromashado
DB Melvin Bullit
LB Victor Worsley
OT Micheal Toudouze
WR Sam Giguere
DT Eric Foster
QB Adam Tafalis
RB Chad Simpson
I don't think Kenton Keith will make the roster, but I think he showed enough for some other team to give him a shot, keeping him off the Colts practice squad.

Michael Coe will definitely be making the roster. I’m guessing the Colts would carry him as an extra cornerback as opposed to keeping a 5th safety with Jamie Silva.

I had Coe
but realized I had forgotten Rushing. I haven’t heard or seen much of anything from Coe so I thought him dropping off the map wouldn’t be to much of a stretch. But, yeah Coe over Silva makes a lot of sense. I just want Silva to help fix the coverage teams.

I am counting only 52 players on your proj. roster vs. the 53 man roster allowed by the league.
a couple other observations…- I cannot see the team keeping 5 active safeties (though I like Silva also)
- I like Farrell or Foster to make the roster at DT, with Dawson being listed as a DE and Curtis Johnson going to Practice Squad

I got 53 the two times I checked it before posting
but I’m getting 52 now. I guess that solves my Micheal Coe problem.
I thought I had put Foster on, but there’s no one I want to take off for him. Practice Squad.
Fixing those now.

ughh
Yeah there is no way they keep 6 corners and 5 safeties. I totally expect them to keep the standard 5 and 4 count that they have always done.
Although there is certainly a lot of depth at CB and a lot of those guys, such as Rushing and Coe, can contribute on special teams as well. I am still very much in favor of Rushing because the guy has excellent tackling skills.

Silva is the only addition to the DB corps
it was 6 and 4 last year. Except for the week where they cut Rushing for Craphonso because they needed another WR.

I do think that Ferrell or Foster will make the roster. Both are larger than Dawson, and quick off the snap.
I also hope Giguere or Garcon can return kicks, so that one secures a spot on the roster.

why so high on silva
All of the Colt’s safeties run a 4.48 or better, Silva runs a 4.7 to 4.8 second 40. His short shuttle and his vert were not impressive either. I get that he is a hard hitter and good tackler, but all the Colts’ safeties can do that. I just don’t see him being a cover 2 safety.

I'm changing what Silva's listed as
to make it clear why I want him on the roster.

I hope he can beat our DT’s and DE’s down the field

3 sting qb
I know this is stupid but I like Josh Betts as a QB. Last year he did look good in preseason.
