Do you want Terry Glenn?
It's a simple question, and probably a pipe dream considering the salary cap, but Glenn still has some ability. The key for him is his health. It seems Dallas and Glenn are in the middle of a serious disagreement. Dallas might be wiling to part ways with Glenn, giving the Cowboys nobody at WR aside from Terrell Owens.
So, the question is, if the Colts could sign Glenn, would you want him?

when healthy
he’s as good as receiver on the Colts roster for sure.
Glenn however has chronic arthiritis in his knee and he might not pass a physical for any other team.
If the Cowboys part ways with him, the only team that would sign him would be Miami since he’s a Parcells guy.
Its a shame about TG, his talent was immense but always injured.
BTW, the young receivers for the Cowboys will surprise you and after this season you’ll know their names for sure.

Better than any WR on the Colts' roster?
That’s what I assume you are trying to say.
Oh gee, if he’s better than Marvin and Reggie, doesn’t that make TO some sort of a superfreak, who are able to score touchdowns blindfolded and both his legs broken against a defense that features 22 guys?
Come on, he has no business on a team like the colts’. We should instead play our veterans, and keep our younger guys so they can develop.
okay..
.. so in all seriousness you believe Glenn is at least as good as both Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne?
when 100% healthy, absolutely
nobody can cover him one on one, he’s that good. Injuries prevented him from being a HOF player.

hardly
Injuries are part of the game and he’s always had injuriy issues. Harrison and Glenn were taken in the same draft. Harrison is a definite first ballot HoF. Let’s compare:
First 5 seasons: Harrison played in 76 games, Glenn played in 64.
In fact, Glenn has only played in 16 games 3 times in 12 years. No player is a HoF player if they have never been able to stay on the field. Harrison has played in all 16 games 8 times in his career.
Glenn has never had over 100 receptions in a season. Harrison has done it 4 times. Glenn has never had double digit TDs in a season. Harrison has done it 8 times.
In their 6 best seasons, Glenn is averaging 70 receptions, 1030 yds, and 6 TDs. Hardly HoF numbers. Harrison has an average of 110 receptions, 1493 yds, and 12 TDs. Just to throw Reggie in there, his 6 best season average is still greater than Glenn’s. He’s averaged 78 receptions, 1107 yds, and 8 TDs over the last 6 seasons. And he’s done this while sharing the ball with Harrison, among others.
So not only is Glenn not Hall of Fame worthy, when healthy he’s not as good as either of our top receivers.
thats exactly what I said
he’s not a HOFer because of his injuries, however, from a pure talent standpoint when he was healthy, he’s every bit as good as Harrison and Wayne. They have the production over Glenn because, #1 they stayed heathy and #2 they had a HOF qb throwing to them their entire careers.
If Glenn had the same things, he’s a HOFer no question.

What?
Where is your reasoning? BlueVol3 just explained (in depth) how Glenn isn’t that great, even when healthy.

no he didn't
because Glenn has rarely played a season where is was 100% healthy. Anyone who watches all 3 play can clearly understand what I’m talking about, instead of just going by numbers which are almost always misleading of the truth which is Glenn has HOF talent whether you want to acknowledge it or not.

In Glenn's
healthy seasons, he wasn’t anywhere near as productive as Harrison and Wayne has been slightly better as well. Playing hurt and making it through injuries are part of the game so from a physical standpoint he’s not nearly as good.
Anyone who watches all three play, except for a few Cowboys fans, would clearly rather have a healthy Harrison or Wayne than a healthy Glenn. Harrison is a much better route runner and has much better hands. Glenn being better when healthy? Pipe Dream.
Harrison isn't a better
route runner nor does he have better hands.
And again, I never said better, I said just as good and HOF talent which is absolutely true.

I know
their names already. I live down the road from the Cowboys and I hear about them all the time. Crayton, Hurd, Stanback, Austin, and now Amendola. They have been talking about Hurd and Austin for 2 or 3 years and they still haven’t done anything. Crayton shows the potential every year but never progresses past that. Stanback could turn out to be decent if he learns how to run routes. Amendola wasn’t drafted but could turn out to be better than any of the WR’s Dallas drafted…
None of these would see much, if any, playing time in Indy.
they would if Harrison can't go
BTW, you gotta give a WR 3 years before passing judgment on whether they can play or not and this will be Hurd and Austin’s 3rd year and Stanback’s 2nd.
IMO, Austin and Stanback will become stars in this league.

Another Colts Fan in Big D?
Good to see. I’ve been desperate to find Colts fans to watch the games with on Sundays. Live near Arlington?

Nope
he’s not going to take a paycut from the 1.74 million on his contract (he won’t even take a conditional paycut which is basically what the wavier is). He’s not worth 1.74 million especially to a team with Marvin, Reggie, Gonzalez plus young WRs in Hall, Garcon, Guns Giguire and Aramashado
They ball when they can and I'm ballin' by nature
Addicted to the game like Jordan and Peyton
-Lil' Wayne "Fireman"
no play, no pay
i don’t see the problem, if you cant pass a physical you cant play anywayz( especially in hard hittn football). probably should just retire.
don't need him
I think the Colts are absolutely fine with the receivers they have. Peyton can make stars out of the lesser-known receivers. They have the ability. With Manning throwing it to them, they’ll quickly develop. Look at Gonzo. I look for Hall to step up.
He's too broken down
At this point, he wouldn’t be any better than Gonzalez. Unless he signed for the minimum, it would probably be money wasted.

Nope
The last thing we need is to spend valuable cap space on a WR that can’t stay on the field. As BlueVol03 points out above, Glenn has played 16 games only 3 times in 12 years. I’m tired of the locker room looking like a MASH unit.
