Madden 09: Indianapolis Colts rankings
Let me first say that EA Sports can eat my butt for not releasing a PC version of Madden 09 this year. I've played Madden on the PC for over 10 years, and I'm not going to go out and buy some silly consul system just to play a football game. It also sucks that the NFL gave sole rights to their team logos, names, and players to EA Sports, effectively destroying any competing NFL-themes games. Jerks.
That said, I know some people here care about how Colts players are rated in Madden. So, here they are (Special thanks to www.pastapadre.com):
So, did the Madden boys screw up their rankings again, or where they closer this year?

Madden
It seems like Gonzo is a little low and I would like for Hart to be listed as the third back instead of Keith. Hopefully Hart is in the game.

They got it right
Nice to see Big Ed getting some love, but indeed Gonzo is a little low.

Did they give Giordano
low 80s speed again? is my question. So racist.

Not racist
Just stupid. Racist would be them consciously saying and thinking that white people are “naturally” slow, or that black people are “naturally” fast. That’s not the case here. If they gave Giordano, say, 99 speed, his Madden rating would shoot him past Antoine Bethea, a Pro Bowler.
It’s really a flaw in the way players are rated and ranked.

John Madden Is Racist
He’s never had an active white player on the cover. Ain’t there enough white on white crime & hatred?

WRONG
they need Heart at 3rd RB, they need LUKE at fullback, marv needs to be the starter duhhh, they got clark right tamme to, the line looks good they probabily have pollak underated but he is just a rookie, I like the linebackers getting some love, think howard is underated and thomas in overated & hughes should be 3rd corner.

Am I the only one
That loves that our 6th round pick from ‘06 ago has shot up to a 93 rating in just two years?

DE
I’m surprised they have Mathis and Freeney rated the same. Both are pretty good ratings, but I’d assume Freeney would get a few more points.
I like Addai with a 99 for 3rd down running back, too.

Who needs Madden when you can download updated Tecmo Super Bowl? Although I enjoy Madden, because of their monopoly, they don’t seem to do squat to improve.
I’m actually more looking forward to NFL Head Coach, but you have to buy it with Madden. Hooray for eBay though.

Clint Session
70? What a joke. Should be at least higher than Wheeler’s.

I already know I'm bumping up ratings for
Gonzo, Marvin, Pollak, Freeney, Brock, Sessions and Hughes.
I suspect I’ll have to increase Giordano and Howard’s athleticism and Ugoh’s run blocking.

Mathis is probably too high
I love him but I don’t know about a 95. Freeney would be higher than 95 if not for the injury.
Sad to see Marvin as a #2 on the depth chart now. It’s no knock against Reggie and I’m not even saying it isn’t the truth, but it’s still a sad moment. Wait, it’s not sad at all this is just a video game, I’m dumb.
Peyton's good but have you ever heard of Jeff George?

Mathis has
38.5 sacks in the last 4 years. Almost 10 sacks a year since his 2nd year is pretty good.

Also
Sanders is too low. 99 does not contain his awesomeness. He shouldn’t have a rating. Just a number of running backs he’s killed.

Hmm
I would have thought with Greg Jones and Cedric Benson it would be around 400 now. Interesting.

If he separates he own teams RB's shoulder
you can only imagine what he does to the other teams
(Iowa started holding him out of practices after he separated starting RB Fred Russel’s shoulder in practice).

BTW
I was asked to “test play” NFL Head Coach 2009 recently by EA SPorts.

Awesome
I’m excited for that game to come out. It sounds like it can be an addicting game.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on that after you play it, I’m very curious if they fixed all of the problems from the first version, because that game had a lot of potential.
