Peyton stays in Indy.
Colts quarterback Peyton Manning did not report to Colts 2008 Training Camp Thursday, staying in Indianapolis in an immobilized condition after routine surgery last week. Manning said he is disappointed to not report, and that he is uncertain on a timetable for his return.
I especially like this...he's chomping at the bit:
“It could be as soon as tomorrow or it could be sometime next week,” said Manning, who has played in eight of the last nine Pro Bowls. “They really haven’t given me any sort of time frame. I’ve really tried to be patient and positive.
Thought you guys would want to know.

I hope he can make it
to Terre Haute by next week. Not on the field, but I think just being there will boost not only his moral but the moral of the team.
I feel for him. This has got to be soooooo difficult for him.
Hang in there, Peyton!

When I heard him talking on ESPN he sounded soooo bored.
I think as soon as the doctors say he can to go camp, even to stand around he will be there in a blink of an eye.

Yeah
You know, I think the best thing that could have happened to the Colts last year apart from a SB win was the Giants SB win. Not only did they vanquish the hated Pats, but now Peyton has the same number of rings as his little brother. I don’t think that sits well with Peyton. I’ll bet he’s chomping at the bit.
