Clifton Dawson re-signed; Kenton Keith not cut... yet
The Colts re-signed Clifton Dawson this morning. However, missing from this morning's practice was Kenton Keith, leading many to speculate he was cut to make room for Dawson. However, it turns out Keith has a hip injury. K Adam Crossett was released to make room for Dawson.

I feel bad for Crossett
All this cutting and re-signing, it must really suck. Props to him for being so understanding about it.

It's the business
He might get re-signed as early as TOMORROW, and he knows it. Just how things are in the NFL.

The Colts answer to 80 man roster limits
This is one of the ways the Colts are dealing with the 80 man roster limit. They don’t want to wear out Adam and Hunter. They don’t want to take up a practice spot for a Kicker they aren’t going to keep anyway. So they sign Crosset for the games, then cut him on Monday to get another body for practice, then cut some unlikely to be signed by others player and re-sign the kicker. It’s a smart move to get around the 80 man cap on rosters. Who needs to help the kicker practice anyway…
