not liking his comments one bit…
"I think it’ll be close for Peyton," owner Jim Irsay said when asked if Manning would be ready for the Sept. 7 opener at Lucas Oil against the Chicago Bears. "Only he will know if he’s ready. I think there’s a good chance he will be.
"With the human body … you just don’t know for sure. But we’re hopeful he’ll be ready to go."
"We know there’s more rehab ahead, but he’s on schedule. The anticipation is he’ll be ready, but it’ll be close.’’

I think it is more his concern from a fan standpoint
He just wants to be sure about it as he stated. He just doesnt want any lingering effects. If anyone can do it its Peyton
