Marvin had surgery last year?

Did I miss something last year?  (From PK MMQB)

n. Great nugget by NFL Networker Adam Schefter last night on the Colts-Bills game: Last year, Marvin Harrison had the same bursa-sac surgery that Peyton Manning is recovering from now -- and Manning never talked to him about it or asked him about his experience with it.

I don't recall that Marvin ever had surgery on his knee.  Didn't they tell us last year that surgery wasn't warranted?  I thought it was a cartilage issue not bursa-sac issue.  I missed this "revelation" by Schefter evidently.  Did he quote "unamed sources" as to how he knew that 18 never talked to 88 about it, if it was in fact the same surgery/issue?

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors.

Why would Peyton

ask him about the surgery when he’s already had it himself? He knows how to deal with the Bursa Sac surgery already. They’re just trying to stir up news…

Peyton

Has had this surgery before. There was no need to talk to Marvin about it. Blue Vol is spot on. They’re just trying to stir up news

Marvin

He did have a Bursa Sac Injury but it was a bit different. It was a burst Bursa Sac with no infection so no surgery was required. Marv just waited till the swelling went down.

That's what I remembered

Of course they wrote it up like Marvin had the EXACT SAME SURGERY. If he had surgery the Colts NEVER admitted it to my knowledge.
