(Sidenote: Maybe Duke should’ve thought a little more before scheduling a team with the nickname of the Dukes. The “Duke beats Dukes” or alternatively “Dukes beat Duke” headlines are inevitable.

Don’t sell the Dukes short. They were extremely close to beating Appy State last year. They are returning almost all their starters and have a pretty decent dual threat QB. They are one of the top teams in the Div I College subdivisions.

The Dookies

will not beat James Madison, Vandy, or North Carolina. They could possibly beat Navy and NC State. They will beat Northwestern.

Cutcliffe is a good head coach but it will take some time to get some good players. This team has only won once in the past 2 years so it will take some time to get some talent on the team and achieve a winning attitude.

My favorite college team

Anyone playing against ND =p Actually, I cheer for all the Big Ten teams, and I hope that one will make us proud in the end. Purdue and Indiana would probably lead the pack for me like they do in basketball, but I doubt they will excite much in football. Go Big Ten!

Same Thing

I sat there and thought “number 1? Who wears number 1?” Then I saw the NCAA patch on their jersey and tried to found out the team. Of course I didn’t look at the ball with the Duke logo.

Helmet

Did anyone see the Helmet? It’s the Colt’s helmet with the horseshoe replaced by the Duke “D”. They will look almost to a tee exactly like the Colts. That’s scary. For their sake, I’m glad they didn’t go with the Under Armor “stripe across the chest and belly” look that teams like Georgia Tech and Oregon State are wearing.
