Which of the hot offseason NFL stories in recent years has been the most nausiating?
I don't know about you, but I'm sure there are others that share my viewpoint on the Brett Favre saga....I am tapping out...waving the white flag....uncle, unCLE, UNCLE!!!! I am aware that my post actually adds a super small smidge to the total web traffic devoted to the issue, but I am looking for a sympathetic ear that shares my pain.
I just cannot take another second of it. Pick the sports show, pick the network, and pick the reporter or writer....when I see the word "Favre", a picture of Favre, or anything having to do with the state of Wisconsin. I tune it out.
I know that these shows and web sites are just doing their jobs. It is a story of interest to many and warrants the coverage. But for me, no more. I am now Favre free and lovin' it. Wake me when it's week one and he is under center for whomever. Until then, the wall to wall coverage will be minus 1.
That got me thinking. Does the NFL machine make this stuff happen just to stay one page 1 during the offseason? Wall to wall Favre this year, the Mike Vick dog fighting last year, and the Terrell Owens/McNabb sage prior to that. I remember getting to the same level of frustration with the 24 hour coverage the Vick saga and the TO/McNabb falling out.
As for the topic of the post....my vote goes to Favre as being the most nausiating of the three. It's just so fresh in my mind. The others have faded, but during their runs of attention....they got brutal as well.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors.

Agree
I’m just tired of hearing about it.
I think you’re on to something. It’s an NFL conspiracy! ;-)

Looks like he's heading to Tampa
I have been a big Favre fan (named my son Brett), but he has been ridiculous, imo. Good luck, Chucky! Wait until the Bucs deal with the drama next offseason.
I will cheer more than ever for the Packers this season. They accomodated Favre the past three seasons, then moved forward at his decision. Now he shakes them up post draft with his return. I hope Rodgers does well, and the team meets us in the super bowl. Too bad they’ll have to lose there…

Disagree
The Packers organization looks like total fools out of this mess and they will not go that far with year with Aaron Rodger’s who has now been placed into a “no win” situation.
Besides the Packers hired Ari Fleischer who was the former press secretary for the Bush administration. I don’t trust nor respect ANY press secretaries (they get paid six figures to lie to America) and I really distrust any company or organization that then hires them after their “public service.”

Completely Agree!
Favre has always been one of my favorite QBs. However, my opinion at the moment is that he is acting like a spoiled rotten child. I’m sure this opinion has been formed solely because of all of the coverage. Hopefully, I will warm up to him again.
But for now, puhleeez, Brett, stay off Greta!

So...
Does this make the media circus better or worse? My vote goes to worse.
