Ed Johnson arrested, not playing Sunday
Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle Ed Johnson will not play Sunday at Minnesota after being arrested in Hamilton County, north of Indianapolis.
Team president Bill Polian said Johnson was arrested early Wednesday morning for speeding and possession of marijuana.
Dungy says they are gathering the facts. He also said Johnson will not play Sunday. Big Ed had a troubled college career, but seemed to turn his life around last year. Now... this. Big Ed is also the best DT the Colts have.
Tip to Levante.

What a moron
I don’t trust the DT"s without him AT ALL. Ugh. It’s so fun stopping Adrian Peterson and Chester Taylor without decent d-tackles.

Great
Wouldn’t be surprised to see Ferrell moved to the active roster now. Not like it will matter much though with Peterson lining up against him. I didn’t want to be the one to say it, but this next game has all the makings of 2006 Jacksonville….gulp

Darrell Reid
was arrested before last season for marijuana possession and the team didn’t do anything about it. If it wasn’t in season I doubt they would have done anything. It’s probably just one game while he gets his head on straight.

nevermind
i misread the espn article. still i wonder what right a cop has to search someones vehicle just because they were stopped for speeding. grounds of suspicion or some BS.

Do we think Brock goes to DT this week?
Does anyone think the Colts will move Brock to DT this week? I think I’d feel better with that then 2 first year players/starters in there as starters. If we could just get a lead then maybe it won’t be such a big deal. Our WRs really need to bring it this week. The Viking Pass Def is not that great and that to me is going to be the key to this game, get a lead through the air and then hope the Vikings get impatient on offense and Jackson makes some inevitable mistakes. If they can get an early ead on us, we are probably sunk…

Anyone notice who was subbing in for Johnson
last week. Muir and Reid the only DT close to Ed Johnson’s size, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they used Dawson or Foster sometimes at over-tackle.

I don’t know about anyone else, but as for me, Ed can smoke himself silly once he retires. Call me crazy but I would prefer that the Colts have zero stoners on the field. It’s tough enough to win in the league straight, let alone with a residual buzz affecting you. Let’s get someone else in there who can play by the rules. And, let’s hope the Colts can stop the friggin’ run this year. Let me say that again, stop the friggin’ run!!!!!

And don't drop the ball!
A plea to Marv, Reggie, Anthony, Dallas, Gijon and Jake. And a special plea to Roby….if you catch the ball in the end zone – TAKE A KNEE. Do NOT, I repeat do NOT try to run the friggin’ ball back.

I Agree
And, if you do try to run it back, protect the ball…..AT ALL COSTS!

I can just hear
Ed talking with his friends in his ‘downtime’. Someone would ask him, are you guys going to stop the run this weekend? Ed replies…..‘Like yeah man, uh, that’s like a heavy question….dude……uh, far out, let me take another hit and comtemplate that man. (in the best Cheech & Chong impression I can do).

oh god
hey wasssup guys! I am new to this site, and i decide to join because i am a big time colt fan myself. And i must admit that i am rather scare about this next game. Adrian peterson is a monster, just like LT. And know this thing with ed johnson even make the situation worst then what it already is. If we fail to stop Andrian peterson next sunday then we wont win, but if we stop and contain him, and force them to pass the ball, then our chances of winning is greatly increase.
The next big Question mark is our rookie offensive line which is going to have to go head to head with the viking pro bowl tackles.

Toronto Colts fan..the reason could bee
Though it doesn’t specify….and it’s possible he had been smoking when he got pulled over, so they smelled it in the car….but …..it isn’t to hard to believe he was searched because he is African American, driving in Hamilton County.
Im sure this might peeve some people off…..but I grew up in Hamilton County…..and that’s how it goes with po-po on the North side. Colt or no Colt.
Regardless, it is stupid to be rolling dirty like that……but c’mon! try to ruin the team whuy don’t ya…..apologies for my opinion ahead of time….

Well obviously the Colts should do what I said during the off-season. CALL WARREN SAPP!
We Colts fans did not pay $720 million dollars in public funds to build a brand new stadium that will get opened on Sunday Night Football by Jim Friggin Sorgi.
