Why Brady's Injury Is Good For Us, No Matter What

I was thinking about this earlier, and honestly no matter how the Pats' season plays out, it's good for us.

There are two possible outcomes: either the Pats stink up the joint, or they go all the way. By all the way, I mean playoffs or better.

IF THE PATS GO ALL THE WAY:
Then Brady is just an above average QB that benefits greatly from the system he's in, and Belichick is a genius.

IF THE PATS STINK UP THE JOINT:
Then all of Belichick's success is due to having one of the best QBs ever on his team, and Brady becomes the 1a to Manning's 1b.

Let's remember that prior to Brady, Belichick had stunk up the joint in Cleveland.

No matter what, we win, because one of these guys will end up looking much worse than they do now after the season.

I like your train of thought

I’m personally rooting for option #1. Then it will be known that Peyton is INDEED the best!

injury

My opinion is that I don’t think Brady’s injury is good for anyone. It’s robbed us of one of the best match-ups of the season. And, whatever plays out this season, I don’t think anyone will deny that Brady is a fantastic quarterback, even in the event the team still does well without him. But, with that said, I’d still take Peyton over Brady anytime if I was building a team. Also, I’d take Dungy any day over poor sport, cheating Belichick. Nothing the Patriots do or don’t do this year will change those views.

It is only “good” (I use that world loosely since even as a non Brady fan him getting injured bugs me) if they win the SB to show people that while he is a good qb he is more a product of the system. That would be the only good. The bad though:

-if they win the SB somehow some people will say they’d have done even better with brady. Somehow

-if they don’t do well then all you’ll hear next year is how brady is the most valuable human in the world.

-all you’ll read/hear about next season is Brady being back. If people thought the hype for him was bad before just wait.

-if the Colts kick their asses in November people will say it will be because of no Brady. If the Colts get to the SB it will because there was no Brady.

-if Brady comes back next year and is mediocre it will be because of his injury. Basically, his injury has given him a media pass for the rest of his career.

So yeah, it is almost all negative IF one follows the sports media.

The hilarious thing is that I think the Pats will be decent and cassell will do decent and the media will give all the credit to Moss and Welker yet Brady got all the credit for Moss and Welker last year. Basically, a total flip by the media.

good comeback troll

To: cheatersfootballfan, I would go with Peyton quite simply because I want the best. Brady is great, but not the best. And, after that massive meltdown in the AFC championship game by Brady, I wouldn’t show my face anywhere in public if I were a Brady fan, at least for a few years. And, then Brady had the superbowl meltdown, wow…..this is getting funny. So, yes, you could say I’m aware that winning big games is the goal. That’s why I wouldn’t choose Brady.
