Colts win 18-15 over Vikings!

Give it up for the man we refer to only as The Pimp:

Adam Vinatieri wins it on a 47 yard FG with 3 seconds. Unbelievable. Talk about the win.

As nice of a kick as that was

It wouldn’t have been even needed had he not shanked that easy one. Still not out of my doghouse by any stretch.

Who cares

He made the kick in the clutch and proved he could make the deep ball as well. We won the game, that’s all that matters.

Of course

I’m thrilled that we won, the defense was great. But this deal with Vinatieri is a disturbing trend. He was TERRIBLE last season, and there was NO EXCUSE for that shank early in this game.

You know

Sometimes it could be the hold. Now I didn’t see the play, but a hold can sometimes dramatically affect the way the ball comes off.

Um

He made a 47 yarder to win the game. Calm down. He makes the big ones.

Except for pretty much every time last year

He sucked hard last year. And I’m hoping this kick today was a fluke and we won’t see him play like last year.

As a whole, the D was pretty solid, any day you don’t give up a TD is good. Offensive line still stunk, and I’m hoping Ugoh isn’t gone for extended time, that’s the LAST thing we need. Hopefully they can hold together for a few more weeks until Saturday and Lilja are back.

If Ugoh and Saturday come back for the Jags game

I think the line will be fine. Without either of them we can go through the same scared about the line dance we did that last two weeks

Although the Jags

Let the Bills pass all over them today. They have looked very unimpressive after two games.

I think we can get by with only one of them

but I’m worried if our line is going to be Johnson, Justice, Richard, Federkiel, Diem

Agreed

When’s Pollak supposed to play anyhow?

Agree

I think pollak is back after the bye as in playing in week 5.

About the shank

I’m not enough of an expert to know why, but a careful observation of the shank shows a decent (although slanted) hold, and then a DISTINCT slip of Vinatieri’s left foot when he tries to plant for the kick. Is that bad luck?Bad kicker? wrong cleats? I dunno. But his foot clearly slipped.

May the wind be always at your back, and may your placekicker have icewater in his veins.

Like the easy kick at the end of the Chargers game last season?

Adam used to make the big ones with the pats but he is now iffy with the Colts. I hope he gets back to being his automatic self though.

Stop

I don’t even like thinking about that one…makes me kinda sick.

Besides the kick, not to be a downer...

But my friend was listening on radio and he told me Sanders left on a cart. Not good to hear

Unfortunately,

it only seems to be a matter of time before Sanders gets an injury. These past two games have been costly from an injury perspective, ….Clark, Sanders, Ugoh, and Saturday. New guys really need to step up.

WOW! we were celebrating the gags loss and then cbs switched to the colts right before the punt…a double celebration! I was watching the colts game online and have no idea how they won. I will never understand why the vikings started throwing the ball in the 4th quarter and saving us time for the comeback

what a season changer THAT WAS! I was beginning to think we were going to go 2-14. 2 wins against the horrible team in teal and that was it.

the D did their job in the 4th. I said if we hold peterson under 1.75 we win. they did. WE did!

Defense

other than a few runs by AP they held up very well. Especially that last Minny series when bullitt stop Tehi? for a loss on the throw beautiful!!!

Offense finally started to come together, except the oline. There are too many changes there to be having them gel right now, what you need on a oline is stability and that is exactly what we are not getting. Although when saturday comes back (I am thinking the Jacksonville game) that will really help out he is a rock on the line.

by canadiancolts on Sep 14, 2008 5:01 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Who coached the O-Line

I know Mudd didn’t make the trip, but major props should go to whoever was working with the o-line. On the last two drives, they really stepped up and made the win possible. On another note, winning feels good.
