Welp...Merriman is done for the year

Someone must have knocked some sense into him because he decided to undergo surgery to repair the torn ligaments in his knee that 4 doctors advised him to do a while ago.  Apparently he's been playing with this injury since December of last year, playing through the playoffs with it.  Common sense would tell you that if he had gone through the surgery in late January or early February he might have even been back in time for the playoffs this season (if the Chargers even make it).  But what do I know right?  Merriman is the smartest man alive!

AFC star players are dropping like flies.  Brady blows his knee out, Vince Young tear his MCL (allegedly) and goes nuts because he realizes he sucks at football, and now Merriman is gone; even though he should have never even attempted to play this season.  Go Colts?

I don’t know if anyone reads those besides BBS. I always forget they are there to be honest, but oh well.

We Colts fans did not pay $720 million dollars in public funds to build a brand new stadium that will get opened on Sunday Night Football by Jim Friggin Sorgi.

I think the that the new comment listing being in blue

makes me miss them. The contrast of the black vs the blue text is what I look for on the fanposts.

He probably spent the whole Panthers game

terrified that someone was going to take out his knee and decided he can’t play the whole season like that.

This is a sign from God. FROM GOD!

Bob Sanders eats a forest on Friday so he can lay the wood on Sunday.

Merriman a non-factor in loss to panthers

If any of you saw merriman play in the game against the panthers (I love NFL sunday ticket) you will know exactly why he decided on surgery.

He couldn’t play.. He was slow, hesitant and really not much of a factor in the game. He might as well have the surgery as he wasn’t any help to his team..

Merriman is an idiot. At least he got some sense into him instead of blowing out his knee for good.

I think...

Either he was having too much pain and decided on the surgery OR (and this is the fun theory), he saw how much love Brady was getting from the league when he went down and has now decided to go ahead with the surgery. He’s hoping he comes across as a “team-first” guy and the NFL will start talking about how the game won’t be the same w/o him.

A media star

He is certainly no star athlete… but he is a media star.

I got noooo problem with him being gone. None.What.So.Ever. I’ll take the win without him there and sleep quite well at night.
