Ravens need to blitz up the middle more

Their Center seems to always help on Ngata on every pass protect. Scott or Suggs (if he comes back) up the gut will work when they do that.

I’m hoping for more LenDale in the second half. He is not good.

by mgrex03 on Jan 10, 2009 5:48 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

It's nice to see love for a OL instead of a QB or RB

but I would prefer them to actually point out when they don’t do well as well as when they do.

Oh amazing, just a wall in front of Collins (after TEN picks up a 5 man rush)

Collins just throws it away (after Ravens get pressure without a big blitz)

refs in the game

has anyone else noticed there were 14 penalties in the first half (and some that were declined) What do you want to bet all the games will be called tightly after the nonsense in the colts game last week so that the league can say that is always how they call games… (and even I have to say at least one of the personal fouls on tennessee was B.S.)

An expert is someone who knows more and more about less and less until they know everything about nothing...

Terry Macauley is a good referee

That’s the difference. I don’t think they are calling more penalties just because. They’ve only called on Offensive Holding (Mason), and it was very obvious.

The personal fouls were all warranted. Tennessee just needed to cool off, and they wouldn’t have had all those penalties.

by mgrex03 on Jan 10, 2009 6:07 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

And after I said that

Reed gets obviously held right in front of Macauley.

by mgrex03 on Jan 10, 2009 6:13 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Jake Scott has been doing a good amount of holding today, when he even gets a hand on his guy. He has let several guys by him in run blocking.

I was curious what people would think of this flag-happy crew when we don’t have a dog in the race. I could care less who wins and I’m finding them a bit pro-Raven but most calls seem legit. Though I didn’t see the hand to the head personal foul.

Shake, found another white DB for you… Zbikowski. Plus they’ve got Leonhard and an asian, Nakamura.

Seems like every play has either an injury or a flag…

dumbass throw though

Flacco is getting a lot of praise for some poor throws. The long TD was way underthrown too.

Things are looking good for the Ravens right now with 92 and Johnson out and the field position they’ve had. Knocking on the door here now too.

by willyduer on Jan 10, 2009 6:55 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Beerdork is praising Flacco for almost taking a 17 yard sack on that. What a mess of a play that was. And fittingly, the Ravens get to the 3 and have to settle for a FG to keep the Titans in it.

by willyduer on Jan 10, 2009 6:59 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

I don't care at all

I do not like or hate either team. I hated old Ravens teams but they’re better with Harbaugh. I don’t see the point in rooting against the divisional rival, unless it’s Jacksonville.

Other than LenDale White and Ray Lewis, the person in this game I hate most is Dierdorf.

I think Flacco is far from perfect on his throws, but I love that they try to go deep so often. Thought the same thing last week.

Still, he’s due for a pick with the way he’s been throwing them today.

Me too

Great game, with a better than expected finish.

Their loss ended up being a lot like the Colts… too many penalties, a bad call on the final drive, but ultimately they can only blame themselves for all the missed chances. They definitely should’ve won that game.

So, does this make

Jeff Fisher, Kerry Collins, and LenDale White “chokers?”

CHRIS JOHNSON

Or Chris Johnson someone who doesn’t show up in the playoffs? He was doing his best L.T. impression.

by monstersbox on Jan 10, 2009 7:49 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

White has to be good to be labelled a "choker"

The others? I’m going to let it sink in first, and reflect later.

What a great game.

No, but it is a collapse

From the horses mouth:

Playing a bad game that ends your season at home, after having had a monster regular season is a collapse. In fact, I’m not sure I could invent a description that is more accurate.

by mgrex03 on Jan 10, 2009 7:58 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

And another from the same thread
I dunno, don’t you think that one and done vs. the #6 from the #1 seed is pretty much as bad as it gets? I do.

by mgrex03 on Jan 10, 2009 8:02 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I have to admit

That game was funny! I love it! The Titans really do suck so much it’s unbelievable. Now, they can go back to their mentally ill, psychotic back-up freak of a QB which they’re paying a fortune for and back into the garbage of the NFL. Ha ha ha ha ha ha! That was great watching that fat fuck Lendale White fumble too.

Ugh. I’m already sick of hearing about how Flacco “led” them to that win. Give me a break. He had very little to do with it and was lucky to even complete 50% of his passes.

Not sure how this fits, but it seems right.

Hahaha

The MCM thread is classic right now. It’s hilarious. Now they’re excuses are the #1 seed loses momentum.

schadenfreude!

Keith Bullcuk

Throwing a temper tantrum in the tunnel at the end of the game. Next time Keith, don’t act like a jerk when you win. It comes back to bite you, punk.

Hey

At least now they can all go cry in those terrible towels they were using as props. I promise you they probably had a whole box waiting for that game.

Punk teams with punk fans are the best ones to see lose.

Bulluck is a punk

Enjoy the offseason, loser. Maybe next time he’ll think twice before disrespecting the opponent.

Lol.

Titans fans are delusional

The Titans were the better team!? Are you kidding me!? They were the luckiest 13 win team is NFL history! Even though I’m a Tennessean, I despised the Titans. They definitely need to hand the AFC South Title back to its righful owners, the Colts.

Yeah, they had the title

and look what they did with it? One and done, just like us.

Chris Johnson aka Offensive ROY (sarcasm)

I went over to the ESPN comment section and a few people are criticizing Johnson for not playing in the second half while Haynesworth, McCain, Mason, Vanden Bosh all have injuries and still played. He looked just like LT last year in the AFCCG sitting on the sidelines; only difference is LT is a future HOFer who has a lot of miles on his body while that chump hasn’t proven anything.

Panthers = Cowboys

Whenever people pick the Cowboys to win, they choke. The same thing can be said about the Panthers the last few years.

EDGE TD!

that was a great run

Go Colts!

Who would have thought going into the season the Cards and Ravens were potential Super Bowl teams. By the way the Cards are playing, they can beat anyone. Larry Fitzgerald is a flat out beast. Al Davis picked Robert Gallery one pick before him. Yeah, that worked out. I don’t know how anyone can be a Raiders fan. It’d be too depressing.

by Colts Homer on Jan 10, 2009 9:06 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

So did anyone else notice

that the Cards are up by 10 against the Panthers?
