Those losers obviously have an inferiority complex. We never said anything about “Well, at least we had a better year than the Patriots” after our loss. They know that next year they will be a lot worse without Haynesworth.

The Titans definitely had a better year than the Colts

The Colts started the season with Peyton Manning coming back from TWO knee surgeries, had a slew of injuries on both offense and defense, had a record of 3-4 for the first half of the season while finishing the season 12-4 by going on a 9 game winning streak. The Titans, on the other hand, were 10-0 one point in the season and many believe were the best team not only in the AFC, but the NFL (because of their record); yet finished the season 3-3 to end up at 13-3, one game better than the Colts who too ended up being one and done in the playoffs. How in the F*$K did the Titans have a better year than the Colts when they only won one more game than the Colts even though the Colts had a bunch of backups starting in most of their games and Peyton wasn’t Peyton Manning for the first half of the season!?!?

so let me get this straight...

the titans won as many playoff games, AFCCG and super bowls as the colts this year (0), are 1-1 head to head, and will pick later in the draft than the colts, and thats better?

As someone whose team has been there before let me say: Trust me, there is no worst season than being the #1 seed and losing the first game.

nah

no expectations. Its much worse to expect to do something and fall short than it is to know the best you can hope for is a couple of wins. Atleast the lions get a chance to grab Crabtree.

Division Titles count

Hey, let’s be fair. They won the division. We wanted that. They got it. That’s something.

There’s nothing wrong with admitting that.

agreed

it still kind of ridiculous that they bring us up to quantify and repudiate their season

I called this in about week 6. I wrote in writing many times, tennessee will lose their first playoff game because this team is NOT that good. meaning 10-0, 11-0, etc hell no they are not that good. they were lucky in many and yes they had good d but you have to have SOME offense. this team did exactly what I thought it would do. lose in the first round.

as you know when you lose in the first playoff game as a no.1 seed all the winning in the regular season means very little.

Division Champs... Nothing More, Nothing Less

“At least we had a better year than the Colts”… hmm …

Sounds like a comment from the 2nd phase of Coping with the reality of a devastating loss. Loose Justification for a promising season that came crashing down to a Rookie QB and a Rookie Head Coach.

Trying to fall back on The Colts to somehow, someway deal with the humbling harsh reality of an overly confident squad going down at home to a 6 seed. It happened to us before, ah that hurt, remember that, hurt really bad … oh, but wait, what’s that? … WE FOLLOWED IT UP WITH A TITLE… we’ll see what you guys follow it up with, time will tell.

So you had a ? BETTER ? year than the Colts did ya? Congrats on finally winning the Division after what 6 years. Congrats, you’ve got us there big guy, if that helps you sleep at night. After 5 years of a 1-team division, you got us by 1 game. Follow it up with something and then we’ll talk.

In reality though we both fell short and neither team can take any solace in going down that early. It’s hard to ignore though, but Fisher lets another opportunity slip by. Vince Young’s progression came to a screeching halt and whatever legacy he ever will have is seriously setback year(s).

The Titans now face the monumental task of backing up a Dumptruck of Cash for Albert to feast on and whether they truly believe Kerry Collins and his 2,600 yards and 12 TDs can be a contender again while their once “franchise QB” sits and watches and makes sad, strange, WTF headlines.

It doesn’t appear the Titans will have many Colts Free Agents to go after this year to join the list of “if you can’t beat ’ems…” (Harper, Thorton, Scott, Simon, Hartsock…).

So don’t worry about us. You know what we’ll be, pretty much the same squad. Only Saturday and Harrison to address. What Titan’s team will the NFL see in 2009. Are they going to sit their “QB of the future” again for a 36 year old “journeyman”? Are they going to make Albert Haynesworth the highest paid FA in the NFL? McCareins, Brionas, Scaife, etc… http://www.theredzone.org/2009/freeagents/showteam.asp?Team=Titans

“Better year” … ahh, Titans fans. You’ve got to love ’em. See you next year guys, maybe you can do what the Colts did after going down like that… WIN SOMETHING!!!
