Dungy Dungy Dungy
i just hopped on stampede blue to see if you guys had any interesting updates....
THAN MY HEART DROPPED....
IM STILL IN SHOCK... I DONT KNOW WHAT TO SAY OR THINK....
this is the same feeling i got when Sproles broke free in Overtime in San Diego and closed our post season... i am speechless
sad thing is... i knew this day would come.. its actually over due.. Dungy wanted to leave after 06... and i prayed he stayed cause i thought we had a dynasty... AND HE DID... for two more seasons... as a colt fan i feel spoiled now.. cause he has the right to leave and deserves it... he gave us a ring... 12 plus winning seasons...
Its actually the players fault that Dungy coached us to 7 playoff berths... not to sound cruel.. but you can bring the horses to the pond but cant force them to drink... THE MAN DID HIS JOB...
THE ONLY THING IM DISSAPOINTED IN, IS THESE LAST COUPLE SEASONS WE WERE SERIOUSLY PLAGUED BY INJURY.. FREENEY LAST YEAR, PEYTON THIS YEAR, BOB, MARLIN.. ETC... PLUS Peyton just got MVP and his playing some of the best football he has his whole career.. so it was like a fresh new start.. Peyts back... in MVP MODE.... C'mon Dungy lets give it ONE MORE CRACK!!
what do yall think of Caldwell?

WHY DO YOU INSIST ON USING CAPS ALL OF THE TIME, WE KNOW HOW TO READ TEXT WHEN IT’S NOT IN CAPS BRA.
This line will remain in my signature until the Colts draft a stud running back in 2009 so I can tell you I told you so.

Yes, it is. I’d prefer not to have to read something that looks like a 2nd grader wrote. Is it REALLY that hard to make a legible post?

Dude, you’re totally missing the point here and I’m not going to argue with you.

the point is
you got annoyed because someone used all caps in some of a post… even though it is still easy to read, so you actually don’t have a point… dude
just bothers me when people bitch about stupid stuff like this… the other day on another blog a guy complained because a someone put the person’s user name he was replying to in a reply… same thing… no reason to cry about stuff that doesn’t really matter

My thoughts
I am surprised he retired, but will not say anything but THANK YOU to this man. I have a feeling he made a commitment to Caldwell as to when he should expect to take over, and he is honoring it. It is just my thought. I do not want to see him coach any other team in this league, as it is my wish to see him go down as one the greatest coaches ever being forever linked to the Colts (we all know the Tampa years do not count).
Thank you for the Super Bowl, Tony. The best money I have ever spent (next to the hospital bills for my kids being born), and the respect this city, this franchise, and these fans have for you should be unwaivering.
Still upset about it anyway…..

Pete Carroll's
college record is fantastic – his pro record? Not so much.
I think Caldwell will be fine. He’s backed by both Dungy and Manning. They should know.

Give him a chance
The Colts would be the landing spot that almost every potential head coach would kill for. It’s the type of position that would bring some of the “I’m staying retired” dudes out of retirement. If they believe Caldwell benefits the team more than these other guys not familiar with the system, then I trust them. The Colts, Irsay, and Polian wouldn’t intentionally be harming the team in any way shape or form so Caldwell deserves a feeling of confidence until he proves otherwise. Which he may, but I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.
