Scouting Sen'Derrick

For anyone that's interested, walterfootball just put up their scouting report of Sen'Derrick Marks. http://www.walterfootball.com/pro2009smarks.php.

I'd wait for the Peria Jerry one from the site to start forming an opinion.  But from the sounds of it, he sounds more like the replacement for Foster than the run stopper we're looking for.  And this isn't the first time I've read alot of what's in this report about him.  As it stands, it sounsd like Raji actually is the one we're looking for.  Not saying Marks wouldn't be awesome, but the more significant upgrade would be http://www.walterfootball.com/pro2009bjraji.php.

From everything I've read, Jerry is basically 65% Marks and 35% Raji.  Which is perfect.

Anyway, there you go for people on the DT watch.  Thought you might like it.

My top three prior to hearing Terrence Cody decided to return to Alabama was:

1. Cody
2. B.J. Raji
3. Peria Jerry

I wasn’t too keen on Sen’Derrick because of his size, but he’s good nonetheless.

This line will remain in my signature until the Colts draft Rashad Jennings in 2009.

No doubt

And he’d be great, but he’s not the urgent need right now unless they take him in the first and are able to pull off a Ron Brace http://www.draftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/dt/Ron-Brace.php in the second or third or an Evander Hood http://www.draftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/dt/Evander-Hood.php around the same.

Here’s the one for Peria, not walter, but a good writeup: http://www.nfldraftdog.com/2009_NFL_Draft/Peria_Jerry.htm

Would fit us perfectly.

Screw Cody

Terrance Cody sucks, he couldn’t do much of anything in against Florida or in Bama’s bowl game.

As for Marks, I think he could start sky rocketing up in the combine. Other wise, I don’t think he will ever make it anywere in the NFL. But he is exactly the type of DT the Colts need.

Try reading the first sentence in my post.

Raji

I would stay away from him because he has some character issues and he’s not very durable. I would go for Cody if he’s there (most likely not) or Peria Jerry. Both are very good at stopping the run and don’t have character issues. Jerry also doesn’t have the reputation for getting banged up.

You beat me to it. This dude has a clouded past so I doubt Polian is going to want him. He did impress me in their bowl game though.

Also he's as dumb as a rock

and his work ethic could be called into question as well. The reason that I would like someone like Peria Jerry or Sen’Derrick Marks (even though he’s more of a three technique tackle) is that they are smart tackles that are students of the game. Especially Jerry from what I understand. I would rather have someone who studies a lot that a lot of a talent who is lazy. That’s what seperates the good players from the great players. Example, the difference between a QB like Peyton Manning, Tom Brady and Carson Palmer and other QB’s like Jamarcus Russell or VInce Young who may be more physically talented (meaning size and arm strength) is that the first three study a lot.

It might not matter...

Go read the fanpost I just put up labeled WR. All I can say is I hope we start hearing GOOD news soon. Granted, I wouldn’t read too much into that interview.

Take Jerry!!!!!!!!

I say stay the hell away from Terrance Cody, he couldn’t do anything when it counted for the team. Cody is clearly a DT who chokes in the big games. Do we really want that for our colts expecially after they lost back to back playoff games to the Chargers. I say since Raji has charector issues and durability issues we need to go for Piara Jerry in the draft.

Cody

Has he even declared? I remember he had a knee injury or something and they were saying he might play out his senior year. I also think he’s way too big and slow for our system. Now if we switch to a 3-4….just kidding, I don’t want to talk about that again.

Oh my fault

I saw you already said he was going to return.
