Herm Edwards to coach for Colts if fired in KC?

Stay connected for news and updates

Some things hat were reported yesterday:

  • According to ESPN's Chris Mortenson, Colts offensive coordinator Tom Moore and offensive line coach Howard Mudd were going to retire following Dungy's retirement. They were talked out of it by Jim Irsay and Bill Polian.
  • Mike Florio is saying that if new Chiefs President Scott Pioli fires Herm Edwards (which he likely will), Edwards will come to Indy as the defensive coordinator. This means Jim Caldwell is looking for a reason to fire current DC Ron Meeks.
  • Tony Dungy's fingerprints are all over this Super Bowl. Cardinals RB Edgerrin James had his career revitalized by Dungy in Indy, and Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is a former assistant for Dungy when both were with the Bucs.
  • Speaking of Dungy and the Bucs: Another former Dungy assistant is a head coach in this league.
