Screw the "Powder Blue"! Colts counter with "Powder White"

It looks like the Chargers are getting fired up for this game by coming out dressed in their powder blue jerseys. Well, screw that! The Colts will counter by playing in their powder whites, baby!

Small side note: I actually really like the Chargers powder blues. I used to hate Indy's white unis, but since they switched to black shoes, grey face mask, and a darker blue, I think the whites are some of the best unis in football.

The powder blue is probably my second favorite uniform behind the Eagles all black. I bought my brother-in-law a throwback Dan Fouts powder blue one a few years ago.

But at least the Chargers have just shown us they’re spending time interested in how “cool” they look and not game-planning. They could wear kimonos on the field and that wouldn’t change the outcome. Although if they played some Rush while they were playing it’d be super cool.

While we’re talking about uniform colors, what do you guys think of the Chargers white helmets? Personally, I liked the dark blue ones better, but what do I know?

Why Not Get New Ones?

So I RTFA and I don’t get why they wouldn’t just get new jerseys to wear instead of wearing the old ones? Surely players don’t wear the same jersey for every single home or away game. I always thought they got new ones if the old ones couldn’t be washed of all stains. Also, if they were that desperate to get the jersey’s back, couldn’t they just hit up the NFL Pro Shop? Ha. Ha. OK, I just threw that one in there.

Alternatives

I personally think the Colts unis are one of the best in all sports. That said, the alternate unis that artist created are OUTSTANDING. Great link, MonkeyBusiness.
