I am sure he is glad to be part of it, but that last phrase smacks of the standard book of sports interview cliches. He chooses his words very, very carefully.
Then again, was he supposed to be REALLY truthful and say “You turkeys jobbed me out of it in 2005 because Shawn ‘soon to be retired’ Alexander broke some stupid record that was then re-broken the next year. So his team won their ultra-sucky division, big whoop.”
