2008 Colts QB Review

Sbplayerrevlogo_medium

We all know what's up with the QBs on the roster (Peyton-awesome, Sorgi-not so much) so straight to the Draft.

Stafford and Sanchez will be gone before Indy even gets one pick. Freeman and maybe Nate Davis gone before Indy's second. If Indy wants another QB it'll be from 5 down on the lists.

No need for a QB this year.

Thank goodness. Next year’s QB draft class will be better. Hopefully we won’t have to suffer with Sorgi after preseason. After last year, I keep my fingers and toes crossed!

Nate Davis = beast

He represents my home town college Ball State. He is a great athlete with an outstanding arm. The only problem is he has a learning disablility.

learning disability?

explain?

Please, please draft a big Defensive Tackle. Please?

by skywalker on Jan 28, 2009 5:11 PM EST up reply actions

He has trouble remembering random things

He learns slower than others, It is the only thing holding down his draft status. Another odd thing about Davis is that he holds the ball with the laces out. He is not use to taking snaps under center and sometimes fumbles. He also wears gloves. But if I had to compare him to an NFL QB, it would be Big Ben. Davis can easly get the ball down feild with a flick of the wrist. Davis has more moblility than Vince Young and Michael Vick. He runs the spread offense when at shotgun. Davis showed he could still put up big numbers when his #1 wide reciever Dante Love was injured for the season(he will never play football again). Overall I believe it will take time for Davis to become an NFL caliber QB. When it comes to moble QB’s in the NFL, they never seem to have an outstanding career.

Strange

He is ranked as the #4 quarterback in this years draft. Why would someone draft him if he has a learning disability? An NFL offense is a hard thing to learn.

Please, please draft a big Defensive Tackle. Please?

He's more athletic than Pat White?

Jim Sorgi runs a 4.6 40. That's all I've got to say about that.

by monstersbox on Jan 28, 2009 6:56 PM EST up reply actions

Ok

Pat White-56TD to 23INT/Davis-74TD to 22INT, White 6,040 yards passing/Davis 9,233 yards passing. White has more rushing yards than Davis but Davis is coming out of his junior year while white is coming out of his senior year. They are both very athletic but I would take a Manning or Brady over a Vick or Young any day. Athletic moble QB’s dont realy do well in th NFL unless your name is Kordel Stewart. Even though Stewart was a hybrid and was not a true QB.

wait

did you just compare Nate Davis to Peyton Manning and Tom Brady??

Please, please draft a big Defensive Tackle. Please?

by skywalker on Jan 28, 2009 7:51 PM EST up reply actions

No

I’m saying QB’s like Davis and White are like Vick and Young.

I was only asking

If Nate Davis was more athletic than Pat White.

Jim Sorgi runs a 4.6 40. That's all I've got to say about that.

Either

1) Mocking the Draft need to decide where they rank Matt Stafford;
2) Mocking the Draft need to explain why they, and they alone, know there are 2 Matt Staffords; or
3) You need to do a little proof reading, shake.

I was playing with the table formatting a lot in between entering the names

that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.
