NEXT SEASON
Ive been keeping up with Stampede Blue for quite some time now.... (my favorite blog)
It breaks my heart to come back on here cause our season is DONE!
and there really isnt any info i care for now since the seasons done... unless you wanna compare stats and talk about Marvin throwing more bullets than Peyton.
I see all these stats and reviews of guys on our squad... I honestly think.. Dom is good, so is Joseph... but we need a real powerful back... weve had this system for quite some time and look at our post season record... we got lucky for the super bowl because we got homefield advantage... were not a road team...
Peyton has a billion dollar arm, you gotta get billion dollar recievers... and a decent back...
I look at guys like Joe Flaco, there defense holds opponents to enough so he just has to score 17 points...
LOOK!!! we need a back, forget Joe and Dom.. we need a Brandon Jacobs type back... Someone who can block, and get a 1st down on 3rd and 1... even with the defense knowing the play call...
I love Marv but the last two seasons hes our third option going on fourth...
take a paycut buddy or take a hike... Theres no excuse, we have a 3 time MVP superbowl MVP Quarterback, we have Defensive Ends and Safeties in the ProBowl...
Dallas Clark and Jeff Saturday makes it there occasionaly.. i mean C'MON!!!
Gonzalez is shaping out right.. Reggie can become a great leader.. Dallas is Dallas, he does his job..
Lets invest money in the O-Line and a good Back....
If not lets build a monster defense since we can only put between 20-30 points on the board...
dont trust the draft, none of that Mike Hart stuff worked out ;/

PLUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Peytons getting old… how much more yardage does he have on that arm?
We wont see another QB till another 15-20 years… LETS TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT!

The Colts don’t need a Brandon Jacobs, they need a Clinton Portis.

Call it a draw
And get Peyton Hillis. You get both!

Isn't it
a bit early to say that “Mike Hart didn’t pan out”, when he only played a handful of games before being IRed, and anyway played well in the few opportunities he was given??

Mike Hart
Time is my concern we need a good back now, not no one to develop into our system especially off IR….

Hows the development of Hagler or Keiaho or Sanders (who was drafted injured)
or Marlin Jackson, or others that spent a good portion of their 1st and sometimes second years injured. Hart wasn’t going to see a ton of playing time this year regardless, so he had a year to mentally learn the system (which is probably just as hard as the physical portion) and, assuming he comes back from the surgery OK, no real wear and tear on the tires.
More importantly, Mike Hart beat out Kenton Keith for a roster spot, he’s clearly Canton bound.

An update on Hart
It’s a month old, and who knows how filtered it is, but still some info:

I hope he turns out man I hope he does
But a serious knee injury this early in his career could have lasting effects. They rode him like a horse in Michigan and he had more wear and tear than the average college back. And I know we stole him in the 6th round, but we still have to approach it more cautiously than normal. Question marks for a player that plays a position that overall has many question marks isn’t an ideal situation.

I understand your frustration
But the Colts are not built around by going out and getting old free agent players like a Seau. They already have the Bob Sanders, Freeneys, Mathis, and Bracketts to lead the D along with a slew of players on offense. I may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but I understand the Colts can not afford a TJ Mushwhatever, but with the talent they have on the team, the Colts will contend for the Super Bowl for at least 4 or 5 more years (as long as Peyton is here). Really, thats all I ask for as a fan. Why do all this change like you mentioned when the Colts are already really really good?

Wow...
Comparing Farve to Manning is just stupid, nobody wants to look like that much of a jerk when they retire.

Key Guys?
but those key guys like stallworth, moss, and welke GOT them to the superbowl and 18-0 at that!!
we cant even freakin get the to the AFCC game!!!
were always one and done!
if we can get over that hump we can get more rings…
I rather get to the superbowl and lose than be one and done
Polian is known for that crap in Buffalo…
I SWEAR IF THE GIANTS WIN THE SUPERBOWL THERE GONNA AUTOMATICALY SAY ELI IS A BETTER QUARTERBACK THAN PEYTON…
so before you go talkin all that Manning got more rings than this guy and that guy lets look at stats and see WHO DESERVES RINGS…
