Week Five: Indianapolis Colts (4-0) at Tennessee Titans (0-4)- Open Thread
Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans, Oct 11, 2009 8:20 PM EDT

Broadcast: NBC
SB Nation Co-Blog: Music City Miracles
The records for both these teams don't matter. Yes, that is a tired phrase, but the reason it is tired is because it is true. The Titans are fighting for their lives as an 0-5 start would all but doom their season. They will likely play all out and hold nothing back. It's these kinds of games that often turn into tough, hard-nosed contests.
As reported by ESPN's Paul Kuharsky, and posted here by shake n bake, Bob Sanders will not play in this game. Charlie Johnson is also inactive, meaning Tony Ugoh will play left tackle tonight.
This is your open thread for yet another Indianapolis Colts primetime game, the third in four weeks.
Go Colts!

4 for passing TDs, 1 point for every 25 yards
The kickers rules are big though. 5 for a 50+ yards, 4 for a 40-49 yarder.
"Brett Favre was a man who thought he was retired, but he knew it wouldn't last."
I've heard he's lost a step
And Ugoh has held up to him before.
eehh

Normally, I'd say get the points on the board and kick the FG...
… but I’ll be glad to bite back my advice and “settle” for the touchdown. :D Sure, it was a bit early to be going for it. So what? Indy’s got the lead now, and against a team that’s not explosive offensively. The lead is much better than having played it safe.

"Pressure is something you feel when you don't know what the hell you're doing."
PEYTON MANNING
Noticed Big Ed annouced his high school instead of college
you think he’d give PSU some love considering it was a call from JoePa that got him into the league.
Luck is probability taken personally, clutch is probability attributed to individuals.
Damnit :(
"Peyton Manning feels no pressure, he applies it"

Wow
Tim Jennings hit him. He lost his starting job, and now on special teams he does this. Wow.

I think he was touched
but that’s just me. Jennings you suck ass, get cut and retire.
another reason to hate Tim Jennings.......

PEYTON MANNING
Is there a player on the team that the fans hate more than jennings?
"Peyton Manning feels no pressure, he applies it"
not at the moment
maybe 07 Charlie Johnson, or Vandy after the 05 playoffs

Don't think fans hate him.......
as much as they are perplexed about why he is on the roster

Ibeleive the only reason we have him on the team is because of injuries
once we get healthy he’s gone
NICE POWERS!

POWERS IS INSANE
What a move.
And these refs are gonna be screwing us all night.
so without jennings it could be 14-0
"Peyton Manning feels no pressure, he applies it"
Jennings, you just cost us three points
You lucky bastard.
no more excuses for Jennings
he sucks and he was never good. Cut him now because all he is, is a problem on this team. Addition by subtraction if we get rid of him
I still wish we kept Ratliff

There's absolutely no excuse
to have that idiot Jennings on this team. Why can’t management figure it out? He’s such a buffoon!
I wonder how Jennings feels, not that I care but.....
"Peyton Manning feels no pressure, he applies it"
so lets get a good return guy at some point.
