Peyton's knee is OK
His knee is a little sore, but OK after sustaining a late hit from Kyle Vanden Bosch last night.

Not a late hit... but cheap
The real late one was Ford. My 8 year-old asked why that was a penalty and I said “he could have avoided him, he could have hit but hugged him, or just bumped him with his hands if his mo was too great. There was no need to continue THROUGH 18.” But turning your armored shoulder into him and knocking him flat, a flag every time.
And that was just as I was finishing my discourse on the knee hit issue. Some day I’ll talk all the passion for football right out of him.
I hate Joe Namath. That's how long I've been a Colts fan.

He hit him right in both kneecaps, and he knew the rules,
I can only assume he was trying to hurt him.
And I’m not reassured much by the statement saying Peyton’s knee is OK.
The article clearly says the doctors haven’t released their findings yet, so they’re just guessing. Look at Gonzo collapsing without any warning. No one even knew he had a problem.
I reserve the right to be worried as hell for the time being.
But then, I’m known to be a worrier.

Vanden Bosch
looked like he was on a mission last night idc what anybody says. When he jumped across the line before the snap in the red zone he didnt even STOP, even when he knew the play hadnt even started yet. So it wouldnt suprise me at all if that was his intentions.
The way our defense is set up, it puts me in situations where I'm one-on-one in making tackles on running backs. When I go into it, I think I am going to win. It really doesn't matter the size, height, weight, whatever. I'm not afraid of putting my body in there." - Bob Sanders

I agree completely
that you are definitely a worrier. Call me an optimist, but I’m thinking that this statement saying he’s fine, the lack of concern of both Peyton and the Colts, the fact he played the second half without it affecting him, and the fact he has two weeks to monitor the soreness, I think he’ll be all right.
Gonzo’s injury was that he sprained knee ligaments. No one knew he had a problem because he didn’t. It just happened. It’s not like all injuries are due to pre-existing conditions. Injuries just occur. You take a wrong step and turn a knee or ankle, that is unfortunate, but not preventable. That’s like saying we didn’t know Freeney had a quad problem.
Although you’re an admitted worrier, I think you’re okay to relax a bit, but yeah, deliberate or not, Vanden Bosch is a douche. Taking dirty shots (if it was in fact dirty, which is a matter of opinioni) at a better player than you won’t change the fact you are 0-5.

i wouldn't worry
looking at the play it def. was a foul obviously but as far as injury i think it is a little sore which is understandable after the hit but two things that are positve. 1st if u look at the play i could be wrong but i dont believe his legs were straight so it couldn’t have been any hyper extension of any kind and there was no lateral movement by the hit as his legs were pretty much together so i think we are ok

Okay, thanks guys I'll relax a bit
I watched the game again and although I still saw the pain on Peyton’s face he was moving around just fine after the hit. Really mobile, actually. And he’s got two weeks to take it easy, although Peyton probably won’t, knowing how he is.
