Tony Ugoh/Bill Polian
Ok I am going to make this very simple. Tony Ugoh is as good a player as Bill Polian says he is regardless of what we think or say. Before you start bringing up his occasional poor play or lack of focus, think about what we gave up to draft him and the recent comments made by Mr. Polian. More after the jump.
We (myself included) are quick to jump on the decisions of the Colts management team. Last year when Brandon Conndren (spelling) was cut to allow Melvin Bullitt a spot on the roster we where quick to say bad move, this will burn us later etc... Well I think that has worked out well. Or this year with Adrian Grady, many here wanted to keep him around but he has since been cut by New England and St. Louis possibly the worst team in the NFL.
Don't forget he was supposed to learn for a year under Tarik Glenn, then be elevated to starter. That didn't happen because of a sudden retirement (shortly before training camp), he has also battled injuries albeit minor ones that have hampered his ability to practice and learn his position. We are so quick to jump on any minor fault or perceived weakness of this team that we decide to bash the living hell out of them, we forget the things that they do well and should be applauded for. I would think that in our daily lives (assuming we have jobs/school/parenting etc...) that we screw up a little bit here and there. If we say you screwed up as much as Ugoh ie. 2 of 60 plays or only 3.33% of the time should you be replaced? I think not. So lets take it easy on Ugoh and Polian for the comments defending him. (also on Jennings, Pollak, Diem, Keiaho, and Bob Sanders for being injured it's not his fault)

So..what's the worst thing that could happen?
We’re all wrong and Ugoh becomes a starter? I like that… besides, I liked how Polian talked about Jacob Lacey and Jerraud Powers, and he’s right, they definetly make it up for all the Tony Ugohs and Mike Pollaks and Tim Jennings… Speaking of Mike, I didn’t hear Polian defending him…LOL
Go Colts!

Think of it like this:
How did we feel about Charlie Johnson around the beginning of last season?
How many of us were convinced that CJ had nothing to contribute to the team, whatsoever?
Not only did he do a decent job filling in at guard, last season, but he came around and won the starting job at LT during the offseason.
Is Ugoh going to do the same thing? Who the hell knows. But it’s a distinct possibility that he finds a niche as a decent starter at some point, even if it’s not at LT.

I stood up for CJ...
and rightly so…also Jennings takes a lot of heat here…but still finds his way on the field. Why? Because he is not as bad as everyone thinks…thats why. There is a reason we are sitting where we are and the coaches and management are where they are. Only time will tell….

He's the protector of Peyton Manning's blind side
I think he does deserve the criticism when it is warranted. That is one of the most important positions on the team
