Forget about Cribbs , put Garcon to return
Many are Fantasizing with a trade of KR/WR Josh Cribbs from the browns, but the truth is that is unlikely to happen as hes one of the few talents left on that org.
That said , i think we still need a better return game and maybe it can get better with the talent we already have, Gonzo will be back to the #2 spot in WR whats that going to mean for Garcon playing time? Garcon is better, faster and physically stronger than last year and he had prove that already so why not give him the starting spot at kick/punt returns when Gonzo comes back and mix him with collie on #3 wr spot form time to time making him a surprise threat.
We dont need to give up multiple high draft pick for Cribbs , when we have a fast and physical player in Garcon , hell i would even play him as a RB once in a while :) . Here are some videos of Garcon making huge yards after the catch, isnt that what a Kick/Punt returner does?

We tried using him as a punt/kick returner
he just doesn’t cut it at the NFL level. As a receiver? yes, As a returner? no

I wonder if Brown is fast enough for a return man?

that's what we drafted him for.
When he was originally drafted, the main reason we wanted him was for KR, but it seems like that never materialized. I would like to see him try it again now that he has had some experience avoiding NFL tackles.

What i've seen so far this season
is that Garcon has more bulk and raw speed, if Gonzo was missing the season i wouldnt even mation to try garcon at it again, but with Gonzo return, then we will have all that speed and newly strength on the BENCH…

i say no no no
i dont want to see him in there as a return man. right now he is 2 string for punt returns with powers behind him. and for kickreturns it is simpson , rushing ghen collie. i say we try powers mabye i dont really want to see garcon or collie in there retruning i would rather keep them where they are right now and let them just worry about progressing in those positions

Probably not
He might make it, but week 8 or 9 looks the most probable at this time.

Need to improve return blocking
There’s not much there. Sure the returner would help a little but, right now, the blocking on our returns is average at best. If I had to pick at the beginning of the year I would have picked improving coverage first. Much to my liking, our return coverage has looked really good lately. I think we’ll steadily improve our blocking in the KR/PR game.
Overall special teams has improved and it’s the coaching.

Alternative
I think we should give Baskett a try back there. He is a former return man and was good as one with the eagles.

did he return in college?
because I don’t see any career return stats for him on PFR or NFL.com

I don't know who would be the better return man,
but whoever they choose, HE BETTER PROTECT THE FOOTBALL!
