Where would an additional injury kill us most?
Where would an additional injury (injuries) kill us the most? Let's assume Hayden and Sanders are back, which they are. Let's assume Charlie Johnson is back, which seems fairly likely. Let's eliminate the obvious two first choices, Peyton Manning and Dwight Freeney. By the way, did you see the interview with Gruden where he was asked, "If you could pick one defensive player to start your team with, who would it be?" Answer: Dwight Freeney.

I trust Garcon and Richard more than Keiaho
Luck is probability taken personally, clutch is probability attributed to individuals.
Keiaho looked serviceable against 'zona and Seattle.
I’d rather have Brackett, but it’s hard to argue that the dropoff in talent from Brackett—> Keiaho is greater than that from Wayne —→ Garcon.
I love Pierre, but… he’s not Reggie Wayne.
Keiaho looks better this year
but the dropoff between him and Brackett killed the Colts at the end of last year.

not that Wayne is a bad answer at all.

look up Gates numbers for that game
and compare to his previous matchups against the Colts with Brackett. The game doesn’t go into overtime for Sproles to put the finishing blow down if Gates is covered well and doesn’t school Keiaho over the middle to repeatedly move the chains for the Chargers.
There are many things you could change about any close game. Brackett seems like the most obvious to me for that game.

Chargers 2 minute drill to tie the game (and they nearly scored a TD for the lead and likely a win without OT)
Gates had two 11 yard receptions, both for first downs. One of them coming on 2nd and 10 well beyond FG range.

plus 6 more receptions for 60 some yards earlier in the game.

yeah but r u forgetting who lost us that game
clint session with like a billion facemasks n penalties in the last minutes and start of over time
ive noticed that the last two playoffs loses (against the chargers those fags) were pretty much lost by one player in each game
the 07 one by marvin harrison he finally comes back and he looses the game for us with a fumble(thats what we get for starting him right away, when gonzo comes back he should prove himself)
and the 08 one of couse by clint session i still havent forgave him since he lost me a bet of 150 bucks thanks alot clint
soooo with the chargers out of the playoff picture hopefully we might actually get a chance to win our first playoff round

I personally want to have the opportunity to beat the Chargers in
the playoffs. It would make my life here much easier. Plus, they are a monkey on our backs – just like the Pats before we beat them in the greatest game ever played – the AFCCG.
The team we are fielding right now (no injuries, please) could easily beat the crap out of Phillip Rivers and ol’ Norv Turner.

Dallas Clark
the reason Collie and Garcon have been so good this season is DClark is having a fantastic season. If he goes down, defenses get to focus solely on Reggie Wayne. Pierre and Austin might have decent weeks, but if we’re relying on those 2 to carry the catching load, we’d be in a ton of trouble.

Wow
This must be a great season so far if we gotta make up injuries to have something to talk about.

I'm copying this picture, I love it.
"You can't defend the perfect throw, what can I say?" Peyton quoting Marino
I'd put them in groups by position
1. Wayne or Clark
2. Saturday or Lilja or C. Johnson
3. Addai (his experience makes him more valuable than Brown for the time being)
4. Brackett
On here
it doesnt say if gonzalez is hypothetically healthy. if he is then we’d be fine with wayne going down. well not fine but we could manage. If Clark goes down who do we have breakin the long catches up the middle? Santi? Tamme? Yeah I love me some Reggie Wayne but right now Dallas (clark not cowboys cuz they suck) is having an awesome season for a tight end. Clark gets my vote.
As long as we have Peyton we will always have a chance to win.
Saturday
Manning will get the ball to any receiver, we have some other good TE’s and our defensive depth is solid (although yet another cornerback injury might test us there…)
But there’s nobody on our squad, probably nobody in and out of football who could come in and do the job Jeff Saturday does without a preseason. We would be absolutely boned with him out for a long time. He’s not just a good centre, he runs that line and triggers our offense through his understanding with Manning. It takes a long time to build that sort of trust and Manning’s got it with Saturday, not with anyone else.
Agreed totally.
Pressure up the middle is deadly to the Colts offense. Without Saturday there is no pocket.
Definitely
I don’t want to see Peyton have to call the protection for the line as well as his receivers/RBs again. It totally messes with our “hurry up” offense.

Other
= Peyton Manning
"It's the greatest job in the world until Peyton comes off the field and you think his thumb might be broken and there's three minutes left in the AFC Championship Game and you're down by three to New England and you haven't taken a snap all year. Yeah, it's a great job until that point." - Jim Sorgi
This is a crazy question.
I know we need something to talk about because of the bye, but COME ON MAN!

Keyshawn (sp) is an idiot
but that Come on Man segment is hysterical!!

I only tune in
for the Come on Man segment. thats funny
As long as we have Peyton we will always have a chance to win.
I like it too.
If I remember correctly, they did the Come on Man thing to Brady when he tried to wear a skirt over the roughing the passer call.
"You can't defend the perfect throw, what can I say?" Peyton quoting Marino
I'd say of the people on the list
that losing Wayne would be the biggest loss. I think it’d be hard for Dallas to get open against the other teams best corner and a safety. Not that he couldn’t do it at all, but he wouldn’t be nearly as good against Doule Coverage as Wayne is right now.
of course, losing Peyton Manning would be the biggest loss of all/. No Peyton=No Offense.
