Marshall Faulk's expert analysis on the Colts/ and by expert I mean, Clueless.
Marshall Faulk on Record being wrong.
Here's a link for the AFC South Preview, Pre-Season outlook by NFL Network
I have been ranting here about Faulks comments concerning the Colts. I found this video, and thought I would share it with you. Faulk makes himself look like a complete tool.
I'd love to send him a copy of this and have him respond to such a clueless analysis of the Colts. Keep in mind, this was before any reg. season games had been played.
The Colts analysis is right after the Titans.

Why, Faulk, why?
The one thing that’s missing is Ron Meeks on defense.
When your best defensive players (Freeney, Mathis, Brackett, and Sanders) don’t even flinch when you leave, apparently you weren’t doing such a great job.
Also, what’s wrong with the quarterbacks coach becoming the head coach? You have to start from somewhere, Faulk. Plus Caldwell was brought in by Dungy. He’s the reason why Peyton Manning has thrown for over 4,000 yards in 6 of 7 seasons, at least 27 TDs a season with 49 TDs in 15 games, reduced his INTs from 20 to 12, won 3 NFL MVPs and a Super Bowl MVP.
With Gonzo going down in the 1st half of week 1’s game vs. the Jags and the extremely lopsided TOP in week 2 @Miami, Caldwell has done a pretty good job at handling adversity in the first quarter of season. Let’s see what he’s made of during the Pats, Ravens, Jets stretch of games and the playoffs.

Great find, Lori.
It’s always fun to go back and see what the ‘experts’ predicted. Faulk is right about one thing; if the Colts were to collapse, this would have been the year. They certainly had the excuses. But Peyton isn’t about excuses (Dungy never was), and that attitude has rubbed off. The Colts may not be the best team in the league (too early to be sure one way or the other), but they’re still near the top.
Love it when the experts are soooooo wrong.

cmon Lori
You cant fault Marshall for saying the Colts are in shambles……I mean they are right?………oh wait……….
Way to make yourself look like a retard on TV.
Can you believe how many fools bought into thinking that Kerry Collins would have another solid year, even though he’s been up and down since he’s been in the league? And that a Peyton Manning led Colts team would have a drop off?

I might be slightly biased
But I’ve seen Marshall defend Manning many times. He’s good people.
I think he just guessed without any research and totally blew this analysis. Typical big network sports reporting.

He loves Petyon
not the Colts. If he’s given a chance to bash the Colts on national television, he will.

Well...
He was one of my favorite Colts back in the day. I went to SDSU when he played there.
He single handedly won me over a thousand bucks in fantasy back in ’99 and ’00.
And my handle is MarshallPlan after #28.

It's a good start, Lori
That’s one clip you can use in your Bitter Faulk compilation video. I can’t wait to see the finished product.

Faulk's analysis...
Last year in preseason, Marshall Faulk also insisted on video that backup QB Matt Cassel “couldn’t win a game in the NFL if Tom Brady went down and left him with a lead.” How’d that work out? Well at least he came on air afterwards and admitted he had been wrong about him. Oh wait… guess not.

That's funny.
Cassel proved him wrong in that exact scenario in the very first game.
Life is full of irony.
Now a proud annoyance on Stampede Blue, 18to88, Indy Football Report, and Phil B's blog.
Man, I need a life...
Random fact of the week from the empty void that is my mind: The national anthem of Greece has 158 verses. Wonder how long it would take to sing that before a game.

"Experts"
Are almost always wrong.
Peter King had the Saints at 26th in his preseason rankings. They’re paid to have opinions…not be right.

What makes Marshall Faulk an Expert?
He was talking out of his ass, pure and simple.

I just have one last thing to say about Faulk:
and all others who wrote off the Colts before the season began.
Stand up and be a man, go on record and say “I WAS WRONG”
“And I’ll never underestimate the heart of a champion again”. End of my rant.
