Manning After Indianapolis

Real quick- Sorry for the 2 posts, i know its a sin(almost) around here but im always up late finishing HW and want to get these out so you guys can read and reply, and i read everything tomorrow after/during school.

Anyways...

Quick poll. Weve seen Peyton TEAR it up Acting, and if he can refrain from putting a helmet on and playing, it looks like he's make one HELL of a QB coach early in his career, then move to an OC and maybe a HC. He has potential to coach. And honestly, i think he has potential to act too. (Rick Fox, Shaquille O'Neil, Kareem abdul Jabaar, all have been in blockbusters)

So.. here it is. Which career will Peyton pursue(after he wins 4-5 more Rings and 6-7 more MVP'S?!

Poll
What will Peyton Manning Do after he retires from the Indianapolis Colts?
Peyton, after a short break from Football, will coach.
96 votes
Peyton will be an actor after football.
2 votes
Peyton will do a little of both, maybe some small time acting then coach..
38 votes
He will stay out of the spotlight( MAYBE coach HS or be in more commercials, nothing big)

Broadcaster.

I can’t imagine Peyton coaching. I could be wrong, but with umpteen million dollars in my bank account at age 40 I’d be ready to retire to a somewhat less intense lifestyle.

Then again, we are talking about Peyton Manning. He’s not exactly afraid of hard work.

maybe he changes his mind

I remember reading somewhere that he has said he has no desire to ever do any broadcasting.

I can't even answer this question.

I don’t want to think about life without Peyton in a football uniform.
But I would hope he’ll start a family, we’re going to need a little Peyton somewhere down the road.

I heard

Belicheck wants to hire him as an offensive co-ordinator. Or he’ll open a forehead lowering shop.

I was just being a smart ass. I figured since I'm a girl I could get away with

calling you TIMMY.

On all counts.

Join the CBS pre-game show-type thing.

He’s too good to be a coach (A students make the worst tutors), and I can’t see him as a play-by-play or color guy. I think he’ll go the Dungy/Marino route.

Now a proud annoyance on Stampede Blue, 18to88, Indy Football Report, and Phil B's blog.

Man, I need a life...

Random fact of the week from the empty void that is my mind: The national anthem of Greece has 158 verses. Wonder how long it would take to sing that before a game.

He is a coach already.

And he says he loves coaching. He’ll stay in football and coach I’m sure.

Acting

You keep using that word. I do no think it means what you think it means.

Peyton has built a very likable persona that is easy for him to play. It will serve him very well as a broadcaster or a pitchman, but I wouldn’t expect him to show up in too many Hollywood movies. He’s definitely too smart to make some bullshit like “Kazaam”.

If Tony Jaa remakes “Game of Death”, do you really want him fighting Peyton Manning in a diaper at the top of the pagoda? Is that what you want??

Never approach a vast undertaking with a half-vast plan.

I think he will coach...

Maybe he could be Eli’s OC before Eli retires!

It's not a sin to back-to-back post...

It is however, a sin to talk about Peyton retiring…

He’s always been good in his bye week appearances on CBS’ pre game show. All indications point to CBS or NBC offering him a lot of money to come in half prepared and talk his way into a 6 figure salary.

He couldn’t coach. It would be like Michael Jordan coaching. Q: “Why didn’t you beat that double team, jump from the foul line and dunk over Yao Ming?” A: “because my name is Adam Morrison.” His expectations would be to high. He would expect greatness from every one who walked through the door.

Great players expect greatness and it would have to be hard to have a team that wasn’t great for a guy like peyton. I think he’ll be happy just to take his hundreds of millions of dollars and a drastic pay cut to talk about football a few times a week.

I hope so...

otherwise I wouldn’t get to see him anymore…
