Week 8: Wednesday Injury Report

7 players sat out practice today. Vinatieri was no surprise, Gonzalez not being back yet isn't a shock though there have been reports that he could be back at practice this week. Jackson is still sitting with his knee injury. The injuries we saw to Donald Brown and Reggie Wayne on Sunday kept them out of practice today. The surprise appearances on the report were Dwight Freeney with a knee injury and Eric Foster with a shoulder injury.

Bob Sanders and Kelvin Hayden practiced fully despite indications they may have picked up or aggravated injuries on Sunday

Bob and Kelvin at 100% is good news! I would like to see some quality Bob Sanders licks on Gore. It would be impressive if he could lay out Vernon Davis, b/c he is almost as hard core as Bob.

Vernon Davis is a god

Huh?

Do you have him on your fantasy team or something?

Now a proud annoyance on Stampede Blue, 18to88, Indy Football Report, and Phil B's blog.

Man, I need a life...

Random fact of the week from the empty void that is my mind: This video right here has produced one of my favorite lines ever. It was so awesome that there has been 2 sequels. One where you must put a banana in your ear, and another where you must grab their tongues. Purely awesome.

No

He is just the most ripped human being on Earth.

I'm not a fan of

Wayne and Brown missing practice. I also thought it was Monday so I was surprised that there was an injury report at all.

V Davis

Having Bob will really help cause Vernon Davis is like Dallas Clark in the sense that if u put a LB in him, he’ll make u pay for it

I'd donate a kidney in exchange for Pdiddy and my colts to get 2 more Super Bowl rings...That's LUV

Davis

Is the closest thing to a real life Hercules. He is a real threat now that his head is out of his ass.

I didn't see him on the injury report for that...

What would it have looked like? Davis, probable, ass? Or Davis, questionable, head? Or Davis, medically improbable, head in ass?

I am not thrilled about the prospect of Dwight and Reggie missing time….

I hate Joe Namath. That's how long I've been a Colts fan.

It would be like that Sanders injury report last week

Vernon Davis, probable, head/ass

You guys are annointing Vernon Davis awful quickly

One 3 td game doesn’t make him a deity.

Davis still isn’t a top 10 TE in the league, mainly because he only snags 6 out of 10 passes thrown his way, which is well below what elite TEs post.

not to mention our beloved Dallas Clark

is just behind him in most receiving yards for a TE

Bob Sanders does not play Hide-and-Seek, He plays HIDE and PRAY-HE-DOES-NOT FIND-YOU!

No

His awesomeness at life makes him a deity.

reggie and freeney and brown

I’ll worry when I see these three guys on the injury report on friday. Brown and reggie don’t surprise me since they left the game early sunday. Freeney may still be suffereing after effects of his quad strain, so they are playing it safe.

An expert is someone who knows more and more about less and less until they know everything about nothing...

FILE - In this Sept. 4, 2009 file photo, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Shaun Hill aims a pass downfield against the San Diego Chargers during the first quarter of an NFL preseason football game in San Diego. Hill earned the starting job for the 2009 season by beating out Alex Smith, who missed last season after re-injuring his surgically repaired throwing shoulder. Head coach Mike Singletary largely chose Hill based on his play down the stretch last year: he went 5-3 over the final eight games and he also owns a 5-0 record at home in Candlestick Park.
