One For the Ladies - The NFL's Best Looking Offense

It is well known that there are at least a few regulars around Stampede Blue who are women, I being one of them.  This FanPost is dedicated to us, and presents a field-ready (and WR-heavy) offense comprised of the best looking active players in the NFL.  Because I also have a full-time gig, I admit that there is a tendency to include players I'm more familiar with - namely, there are several Colts players, and there are more well-known players than there are players who are below average performers.  You might also notice that I have more players from Cal than from any other school, but hey, we breed them beautiful out here.

Be sure to also check out the NFL's Best Looking Defense & ST.

I want to thank Indy Lori, peytonsthebest, and Marima (from Pats Pulpit) for their contributions to this post.

OFFENSE

QB: Who else? Peyton Manning, Colts

Espys4_medium

via i928.photobucket.com

I admit that, above his chin, there is a certain appeal to the QB from that team in the Northeast, but I don't want to be permanently banned from Stampede Blue for putting him in front of our own Peyton Manning.  Peyton is attractive in his own right - nice smile, kind heart, great comedic timing, and I don't really care that his forehead often doesn't fit in pictures.

C: Jeff Saturday, Colts

Look at those eyes!  And a family man to boot.

OL: Chris Snee, Giants

Another family man!

OL: Alex Mack, Browns

Cutie patootie!!  And a Cal grad who took on some serious ballet dancers in a charity event to boot.  Some of you will point out that he's also a Center and not eligible because I already picked Saturday.  I don't care - he's listed on the Browns' team site as an offensive lineman, so he gets my vote.

OL: Jake Long, Dolphins

Somehow I would feel safe with him!

OL: Eben Britton, Jaguars

What a nice smile, especially with the retainer!  I see a bit of bad boy peeking out, too, with the tats!

WR: Terrell Owens, Bills

via sports.popcrunch.com

I admit it... I believe T.O. is a hottie!  He's also very sensitive - I was one of the 37 people who watched every episode of his reality show this summer, and I grew to love him.  I chose a less revealing photo because his chest and stomch muscles are almost too overpowering, and it's his smile that ultimately is his best asset.

WR: Brandon Stokely, Broncos

I'll take that football.  Thank you.

WR: Austin Collie, Colts

Excuse me, Mr. Kent?  There's a situation in Indianapolis that needs Superman's attention!

WR: Wes Welker, Patriots

Mag_wes_welker_01_medium

via 4.bp.blogspot.com

Let me be clear - I put Welker in here ONLY because I appreciate Marima contributing to this post.  He is a bit wall-eyed for my taste, but otherwise yeah, pretty darn good looking.

WR: Vince Papale, Eagles

Ok I cheated here, but Marky Mark is on my laminated list!

TE: Tony Gonzalez, Falcons

I fell in love with Tony the first time I saw him, which was up close and personal when he played basketball at Cal.  This man has GUNS and they are constantly smoking.

TE: Dallas Clark, Colts

He's as hot when he's serious as when he smiles!

RB: Reggie Bush, Saints

Yes please.

RB: Donald Brown, Colts

Donald-brown_medium

This kid is attractive in every way - good looking, sincere, articulate.  Makes me wish I had a daughter or niece his age!

RB: Laurence Maroney, Patriots

Another one for Marima.  I'm not terribly attracted to Maroney, but he has a certain exotic look to him, and he's pretty ripped!

Ok ladies, who you got?

Great list

But I don’t think you could really go wrong with the pool you’re swimming in here. But Peyton??? As they say on that ESPN Monday Night Countdown segment, “C’mon man!”

And Randy Moss has it all over T.O. especially in the smile department (and in the everything else department).

[Note to hubby: I’m just kidding, I watch the NFL because I love watching football games – not the players, really. Really. I was just helping out a friend. Really.]

I think we might need to

raise the bar on how many recs it takes to move up to the Recommended FanPosts section. We’ve had 5 of these posts (maybe more) in the past 2 days. Either people are too quick to rec a post, or we have so many users that the bar needs to be raised.

Seriously, i find it interesting how differently women rate men from how men rate women, so i enjoyed your post, LovinBlue.

I think it’s a good reminder to us men that looks aren’t, and shouldn’t be, everything. You girls have it right… it’s all about relationships and how we treat each other.

I agree - Donald Brown is very attractive

and he speaks well, too :)

Wes Welker is OK, but he’s something like, 28 years old, but looks like he’s pushing 40. Maybe it’s the receding hairline.

And even though he’s not playing anywhere: Marvin Harrison. I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for him – him and his wonderfully groomed mustache.

Oh - and Mark Sanchez Can't help it.

Must be the hair, you could run your fingers through that all day…ahem.

And for the record: I don’t really care if he’s eating a hot dog during the game. He was being discreet. Besides – worse things probably go on at the sideline – spitting, guys adjusting themselves, picking their nose…those things are worse.

Well first off I'd have to get rid of Peyton so sorry for that, I don't find him attractive whatsoever

and he only further makes me not find him attractive when he talks so I’d replace him with Rivers. And I guess Saturday can stay on there because centers aren’t normally attractive anyway. But like Marima said, I’d put Randy Moss over T.O., get rid of Stokley and put Mike Sims-Walker on there, and take of Collie and put on someone better looking lol I don’t know, I just don’t think he is very attractive. For running backs I’d get rid of Brown and put on another Brown, Ronnie Brown because he has a smile to die for and I have to show Dolphins love, and I’d get rid of Maroney and put on MJD.

I admire that about him and enjoy the fact he likes to run his mouth. I still think the last two playoff losses contributes to it, there is no doubt in my mind that is the driving force for why most Colts fans don’t like him.

He plays with passion?!?!

He’s a straight up asshole!!! He’s always running his damn mouth. I’m not a fan of Brady, but at least he doesn’t taunt other guys.

As for those playoff losses, the first loss came when we didn’t have our best defensive player; no, not Sanders, but Dwight Freeney. Anyway, Rivers didn’t even play much of that game because of his knee, Billy Volek was the one who burned us because we had no pass rush. I don’t care what defensive strategy a team plays: Man-to-Man, Zone Blitz, Tampa 2, Cover 2, or Cover You. If you can’t rush the quarterback, you ain’t beating anyone, and that game proved it.

Last year’s loss was a combination of injuries and just not having the best team. Brackett was out, The DTs weren’t that good, Peyton and Marv’s chemistry wasn’t there, the running backs were banged up, and the O-line was in shambles.

They’ve knocked us out of the playoffs in consecutive seasons, but my dislike for Rivers really doesn’t have anything to do with that. He’s a damn good quarterback, but he’s such a douche.

"Do I believe in aliens?" Stephon Marbury asked. "I don't know, because I've never seen one. But I believe in Jesus because I saw him in the shower the other day."

Passion is not to be admired indiscriminately

This is obviously an extreme example, but Hitler was very passionate. See what I’m saying? Passion itself is not to be admired, but rather what one is passionate about, and how that passion is displayed. If you’re passionate about taunting fans, showing poor sportsmanship, and being a bad role model, you are a douchebag. Simple as that. There’s a reason taunting brings a 15-yard personal foul penalty in the NFL.

I do have MJD on the ST post (and agree with you on Maroney, but was extending an olive branch to Marima, who helped me with the post).

I considered Moss, but I’m a Bay Area resident and still don’t like the way he performed for the Raiders (I know, I know there is tons of blame to go around, and that is a whole thread unto itself. Plus, he was very friendly with the staff when he returned for last year’s game, but it’s just a thing with me).

Ronnie is indeed nice looking, but having watched Donald Brown’s press conferences, I have more data to say that I would prefer Donald.

And as for Rivers for Peyton, you mean THIS GUY?!?!

whole-heartedly agree about us being entitled to our opinions

I once almost got into a fistfight with my Brazilian manager when I tried to convince him that San Francisco is more beautiful than Rio. I tried to make it more of an intellectual discussion, but he got hot under the collar quickly! I like hearing others’ opinions, which is why I tried to be very careful to let you know I was honestly interested – we can agree to disagree on who might be “best looking”… it’s what makes the world so interesting.

Ok I’m channeling a bit too much of my California liberal ways, now!

Arizona will be tough

I’m just glad we have you guys at home…

How can you not love a team that does this?

Our last 4 games after WSU next weekend are hell: @ Cal, vs. Oregon, @ ASCC and @ USC. I’ll be happy for a split, ecstatic for 3/4, bummed for 1/4 and i’ll probably poop my pants if we won all 4, but there’s a snowball’s chance in hell of that happening

I'm pulling for Zona now

boost Iowa’s SOS

I would really like to see a rematch between AZ and Iowa with our current QB, Nick Foles, instead of our old garbage QB. I still think Iowa would win, but it would be much closer and a game actually worth watching

two QBs played against Iowa

Penn State was the first game when the opposing starter didn’t get pulled against Iowa.

technically, yes, but Foles didnt come in the game until late in the 3rd quarter, when the game was basically over. It would be like the Colts losing to the Steelers 40-7 without Peyton Manning, and then telling Peyton to go in the 4th quarter and try his best. Know what I mean?

not that bad since they must have thought that the first guy was better going into the year

judging by how Zona’s done since they were wrong, but the difference can’t be that pronounced without the staffing having picked up on “Hey this other guy is way better”

Luck is probability taken personally, clutch is probability attributed to individuals.

Following

LovinBlue’s unabashed admiration of ruggers in another thread:D, here’s one for her. (LovinBlue if you ever get a chance to visit NZ, do so. On my last visit, I was afraid of losing my wife for a while there :D )
