Yes we got college football once again. but it is different isn't it it is holloween day football lol

i started a open post for the college football weekend last week and as i saw it went over very well and we all had a good time and even stayed on topic (amazing accomplishment). i figured since we had such good success with it we would do it again and maybe make it a weekly occurrence.
this week we got some good match ups heading our way. for starters we got
in the first slate of games starting at 9AM PT:
Indiana (marked Hoosier's team) @ #4 Iowa (shake"s team) (should be fun)
AT 12:30PM PT
#24 California (loveblue's team) @ Arizona state
Georgia vs. #1 Florida (kingrichard's team)
AT 4:45PM PT:
#22 south Carolina @ Tennessee (peytonsthebest's team)
AT 5pm PT:
Tulane @ #9 LSU (bbs's team)
#5 USC (my team) @ #10 Oregon
well there was no way i was going to say each game so i have given the games based on teams that some of our regulars claim support to. no offense to anyone i missed if i missed you let me know. (cassiper you know why your not here, and indy lori don't know do you have one? i went off o peoples profiles for you teams.
two other games to mention just cause we mention them each week is cassipers school
Purdue @ wisconson @ 9:00AM PT and
for the sake of those who do not like this team (marked Hoosier in particular)
Washington state @ #23 notre dame (i believe is Colts homer and Mgrex's team) @ 4:30PM PT
so now lets let the holloween weekend kick off.

if I’m on all the time, you can at least get my name right. Or you can just call me Cass. It’s what all the cool kids are doing.
When it comes to college sports, I’m more of a state of Indiana homer. Especially with the wild fluctuations of who’s good or not in college sports, I typically support and watch any team in Indiana that does well. I’ve never understood why I am supposed to automatically support a team at a college I earned the right to attend with good grades and still have to pay big bucks to go to. That’s just me though.
By the way, Boiler Up has never made sense to me either. What the heck is that supposed to mean?
As a side note, I like college basketball a lot more than college football. I’ll be attempting to watch a lot of Purdue and Butler this year. By the way, Butler is ranked #10 and #11 in the preseason polls. Can’t wait.
Man, it’s already 5:00 in the morning. I need to go to bed. Good thing I never need to get up early on Saturday. See you guys after noon sometime!

I just spent 20 minutes watching the 4th quarter of Texas-Oklahoma St. on ESPN U only to eventually find out that the game doesn’t start until 8:00 tonight. I was watching a rerun of last years game.

Actually,
I’ve found that it’s much easier on the nerves to be at the game. There’s no opportunity to get all nervous pacing around, and you can get rid of all your pent-up energy by screaming at the top of your lungs.

They are a very sloppy team.
They don’t have the polished look of teams like Texas, Florida, the Colts, or the Saints. It’s one of the ways you can tell how good a team is.

They did great last year
Against the #1 ranked OOC schedule, and this year will definitely be #1 again. Hayward always did great against OOC teams as well like Ohio State and Davidson. This will be a huge year for Howard and Hayward.

Like the number of wins the last 2 teams you beat had? Sorry Shake, but I went from being completely ambivalent towards Iowa to wishing for them to lose to U$C. I suppose that Iowa players can’t control the officiating, but that was a traveshamockery of a football game. Iowa is going to get absolutely destroyed by Ohio State if they don’t get their act together.

Iowa certainly dominated the 4th quarter
But Indiana’s confidence was shot at that point. If they had been able to go up 28-7(before TMF Sash miracle pinball INT) or 28-14( Ridiculous call of incomplete on TD catch, followed by missed FG) rather than 21-14 after both of those occasions, things could have been very different.

That 4th quarter was insane,
and is quickly convincing me to not watch the next Iowa game until the second half starts. There doesn’t seem to be any point in watching the first half ;-) Anyway, I don’t know how long Iowa can sustain that style of play where they only show up in the 2nd half.
But yeah, Purdue sucks, and OSU looked absolutely horrible in their game against Purdue. A good offense should be able to beat them. Iowa can take them, but it should be a good game.
But that was a great game, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s much less stressful to watch college sports when you don’t have any rooting interest.

the Iowa STs were uncharacteristically awful. Missed FG, shanked punt, 2 muffed punts (one lost).
Indiana scored 14 points off short fields from Iowa ST mistakes.
