The Sack Master-Dwight Freeney

Interesting list of possible MVP's at mid-season. All the usual culprits are there, with a few new faces.

What caught my eye was Dwight Freeney as an honorable mention. He's got only 1 sack less that Jared Allen, who made the list. I'm hoping this Sunday Freeney will get at least 2. I'd like to see him on the short list for MVP. He's wreaking havoc on all the QB's he's faced. With some dinged up O-line players for the Pats, this is a very possible scenario. Come on Freeney and or Mathis. We need you to come up big on Sunday.

Since we all know that the Brady rule is worrisome for defenders, I hope it doesn't effect how Freeney and Mathis play their game. They need to be smart and get it right. Come on Freeney, lets bring it on Sunday!

What do you guys think? Will Freeney get his sacks on Sunday? He's fired up this season, I'm fired up this season, we as the twelfth man need to be there to cheer him on as loudly as we can. Anyone who's going to the game needs to be loud for the team. Go Colts!

I think...

Dwight and Robert do a great job of getting clean hits on QB’s..you don’t really ever see them getting personal foul penalties of any sorts. I think these 2 guys will be the key to our win….Our corners/LB’s will get beat by the Patriots receiving core, however, if we get in Brady’s face, we can cause some quick throws and hopefully create turnovers. Brady hates pressure from the middle, and considering he has great pocket presence, it might be a good idea to bring in Gary on a few blitz in-between the gaps.

I will be flying in from Boston for the game (I am a huge Colts fan), and I intend on being incredibly loud at the game…the one thing us Colts fans must do is not only rise up and yell off the top of our lungs when the Patriots are in 3rd down, we gotta do it every…single…play. I really hope the Colts keep the lid closed on Lucas Oil, as this will help with keeping the sound within the walls of the building.

Now, I shall practice….

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH :)

I think....

Tom Brady better being an extra pair of panties to the game on Sunday….need I say more?

Bob Sanders does not play Hide-and-Seek, He plays HIDE and PRAY-HE-DOES-NOT FIND-YOU!

The attention Jared Allen is getting this year annoys me

The man has 10.5 sacks, which is great, but 7.5 of them came against Green Bay. Green Bay has allowed 37 sacks which is equivalent to 4.625 sacks a game (which is horrible). Allen has been shut out in three games. We’ll see if Allen can keep his numbers up without any more games against Green Bay.

Freeney, on the other hand, has been the model of consistency with at least 1 sack every game. He’s also played with a bum leg and is only one sack behind Allen.

I guess the point is that Freeney should be on the very short list of Defensive MVP candidates and ahead of Allen. It is good to see him getting some attention.

Its because JA is...

much more vocal and self publicizing….it is what he does. From his mullet hair, to his crazy hats…he always does things to bring attention to himself. That being said, everything you brought up is correct….both Allen and Freeney should be on the short list.

All Freeney does is play the game…like Harrison used to…like Mathis does…like Clark does. This is the type of player the coaches and Polian like…this is the type of player we al like as Colts fans.

Thats it

I’m wearing my Freeney jersey for this game.

Its always a hard choice which one to wear……..but I think the Colts pass rush can seal the deal with a badass game…….hopefully thats what can happen

Im ready for beer, burgers and big hits on Sunday! GO COLTS!!!!!!!!!

Great choice

We’re really gonna need him to continue his streak on Sunday!

How can you not love a team that does this?

Double spin moves, Brady goes down,

Ball loose, Brackett picks it up, runs it back for 6.
Just sayin’

Yum.

Now a proud annoyance on Stampede Blue, 18to88, Indy Football Report, and Phil B's blog.
