NFLN Colts/Pats Replay Open Game Thread
Some people expressed interest in having an "Open Game" Thread for the replay that is just now starting. Well here it is!
The Colts need to limit the big plays by Brady and Moss.
They need to get pressure on Brady and protect Manning.
It's always a close game between the Colts and Patriots so they need to play a full 60 minutes.
Most importantly, Bullitt need to stop Faulk short of the first down when Belichick goes for it on 4th and 2.
Go Colts!

sorry
I couldn’t find any, who would of imagined it would be harder to find a link to the game when the game isn’t being blocked by the NFL
interesting
insight into how Belichick was coaching them to “get on Collie and Garcon… play them aggressively and push the coverage to the other guys”
How can you not love a team that does this?
In the last couple weeks, someone did a poll saying who would you want in the last 2 minutes of a game
Brady or Manning.
A bunch of “analysts” were saying Brady. After this game, who can really say Brady any more? Brady couldn’t get the 3rd or 4th down conversion to ice the game while Peyton won the game for the Colts.
I have to say rewatching this game
that I began to really miss Sanders
How can you not love a team that does this?
not to take ANYTHING away from Bullitt
but they might have played differently against Sanders

I don't get NFL Network here.....

Random fact of the week from the empty void that is my mind: I turn 19 on Tuesday, November 17. I accept all gifts. If any of you can figure out a way for me not to have a test Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday on the week of my birthday, that would be the best present ever.

On that slant to Garcon
Peyton thinks he still has Marvin playing there.
And the Patriots have seen that enough times that Manning just needs to stop going to it.
yeah
I miss #88 a lot too.

ya wow
I forgot how money the slant to marvin was for all those years. manning woudn’t even signal it sometimes, they both would just instinctually see it, and the ball would be in 88’s hands 9-12 yards upfield. that was a great quick strike play.

I have it on my DVR at home.

What happened with Brown?
Why did Simpson take his place? After that we never saw him again. Did his previous injury start hurting again?
Polian said that they just went to who was hot... and that was Simpson

that's what it looked like
he stepped to the outside first, then as soon as he saw Mayo he tried to jump inside but was way too late

Strange spin move by Brady
as he was chased out of the pocket. He could have really gotten smashed had someone been there.
How can you not love a team that does this?
Both Pierre and Collie
still making rookie mistakes. False start, PI, blocking downfield. Please guys, get over it now!
How can you not love a team that does this?
Collinsworth professing Brady's man love for Faulk
thereby implicating himself
How can you not love a team that does this?
Surprised a Brady rule wasn't called there
Mathis hit Brady a little low
How can you not love a team that does this?
I saw that, too
I’m also surprised he didn’t complain to the refs about it.
Peyton Manning makes it Wayne on them hoes!!!!
brilliant punt by McAfee
drops it at the 10 yard line with no movement into the EZ… Welker let it go over his head assuming (I think) it would roll back
How can you not love a team that does this?
Collinsworth
You just can’t play the game [the way the Colts have] and expect to win the game against a team of [the Pats’] caliber.
How can you not love a team that does this?
I get nervous on that fade route to Wayne
everyone’s seen it 10000 times… it’s gonna get picked again sometime soon
How can you not love a team that does this?
I think...
That why P threw that one way OB. No chance for either outcome. Anybody else think about that play setting up the slant on the last TD?
interesting comment by Al Michaels at this point
I would put this in the hands of the defense [to stop the Pats offense as opposed to onsides kick]
Prescient
How can you not love a team that does this?
assume you're talking about NE's second one
that was part of the topic of my writeup:

How can you not love a team that does this?
We struggled with motion this whole game.
That needs to be addressed. I knew that play was going to Welker as soon as he moved. It looked like no body adjusted the coverage.
Ha ha
Pierre Garcon tweeting that he’s bored and looking for ideas for tonight… you kidding me?!?
How can you not love a team that does this?
Ah, so Wayne did indeed do a "Luke Leap".
… First time around, I was too busy typing stuff like “YES! YES!”. =)
Notice the defender was close to a pass interference with his tugging on Wayne’s waist.

"How can a pickup truck contain enough mass to unfold into a towering machine? I say if Ringling Brothers can get 15 clowns into a Volkswagen, anything is possible."
Yeah, I know
Too close to the LOS. Within 5 yards and all that. But still… that was a real tug from my point of view.

And MAN, that was a HIT on the kickoff return, wasn't it?

I noticed that too.
Seems sorta creepy.

Oh, crap, I missed the thug shoving the camera guy down!
Dammit! Once AGAIN, too busy typing. :-(

Sounded like it was actually
that the guy ran out of cable and just got snapped back on his back

I have to say...
I like Caldwell’s demeanor with the team. Don’t get to hear much of it, but I do like it!
I like the idea of an open thread for the NFLN replays
Especially since we can act all stupid and pretend it’s live. “Oh, no, game over man! That’s it, we’re done!!”
;-)

I really enjoyed the NFL Films cameras in the game
I love it when Mathis said, “Get in the endzone! We need to get in the endzone!” However, Reggie’s “Not in our house!” was awe. some.
Peyton Manning makes it Wayne on them hoes!!!!
Gozno?
Does anyone know at what point they show Gonzo standing on the sidelines? Someone had mentioned he was at the game, but I never sam em.
After the Reggie TD
I remember him joining in on the congratulations to Reggie. He’s standing near a surprisingly animated Howard Mudd.
