Why did they not flex this game???

it's not that bad

two teams fighting for wild card spots

This was the first week

I thought they could go to Indy@Bal, but I guess there were not alot of alternatives

I wrote a fanpost about the flex games

in it I got a list of the protected games in multiple messageboards on the interwebs, and found that CBS protected NYJ @ NE this week, so IND @ BAL was available.

here's what i'd like to know

the Colts have been undefeated all year (by my count), have played decent teams all year (record wise, other than the rams, at the time), and have yet to get the #1 broadcasting team except in cases where there is only one broadcasting team (S/MNF). Are you really telling me that the Jets/Pats shit fest was going to be a better, more important game than Indy/Balt?

Never doubt Peyton Manning, he’ll make you look silly

would have been that,

regardless of the announcing team :p

I just think of the annoucning order in the order of ‘goodness’ of game and playoff implications. For me, today, NE/NYJ would have been 3rd, at best, behind indy/balt and DEN/SD (probably should have been first). The fact that they ‘protected’ that game over all the others? Teehee.

Never doubt Peyton Manning, he’ll make you look silly

Well

the protect list is given out before the start of the year.

My only guess is that NBC knows it can only flex the Colts in once or twice, so they waited for some potential “unde@#(ed” games late.

didnt know it was done pre-season.

I dont care if the colts are on snf, i actually prefer 1o’clock or MNF games, i either get the angst out of the way, or i get to enjoy a full sunday.

Considering I am also a Raider fan, I should be happy

but now, there is a good chance that NE or SD get that 2 seed. I do not want that at all. God, why can’t I just be happy that my blacksheep football team won a game it had no business winning.

the Pats own their #1 pick

so losing doesn’t really even help them in the draft much and it’d net the Pats another Jerod Mayo type. Be happy.

not looking like a good fantasy week

86.9 points vs Forte, Olsen and Akers (SB)

13.85 vs McCoy and Cutler (SB)

Forte vs 12 points

(two pretty much sure loses, 18to88 and BHGP)

32.86 vs Schaub, Chris Johnson, Bironas and Daniel Manning

(a sure loss)

so go Forte (but not too much) and boo Cutler, McCoy, Olsen and Akers

1) +4 with Chris Johnson and Andre Johnson to play

2) down 25 with Chris Johnson and Andre Johnson to play (theme!

3) Down 13 with Schaub v Olsen to play

4) +38 against Schaub and Bironas

5) +14 Schaub/Forte v Celek/Gould

6) +28 v Schaub/Djax/Olsen

7) -23 McNabb v

8) +28 Forte v Hester/Celek/Gould

9) +22 Schaub v Slaton

10) +5 McNabb/Celek v Chris Johnon/Djax

11) +25 v. Schaub/Andre Johnson/Maclin

12) +35 v Forte

Doooo tell!

Some QB’s elevate. Some lead. Some manage. Others… well, they’ll lose the game fer ya. Guess which one he falls into?

The sad thing is, I was all ready to like him. He’s also diabetic, he’s from Santa Claus Indiana… but no, he had to go be a cock to people. And not back it up with play.

Maybe he’ll have a turnaround at some point, but at this point, no one can claim he’s anything more than a liability.

Tremendous franchise mode, which is what I love. Very glitchy and flawed game, as to be expected through from EA.

I wish they would put a halfway decent franchise in Madden. Online play is teh suck and Superstar mode is terrible. They’ll likely disappoint again it will be a 3rd year without a Madden

place your bets

A) Media will start giving credit to the Colts, now they now colts can come from behind and win games without Peyton being involved (scary cuz now any colts can beat you , today it was Brakett)

B) Media will not give credit as always and will credit it to luck again and will say we are not as good as the 10-0 record.

C) Media will try to avoid any colts related talk this week and will concentrate on making the case for Fravre MVP 2009

They don’t like when the Colts do well. When forced to mention them it will be how lucky they are and grim it looks with Peyton throwing for under 300 yards (b/c 299 will kill ya)

BALTIMORE — The Baltimore Ravens were hot. Radioactive hot, as in angry; not efficient, effective or dominant. In a game they had to win on Sunday, they lost. In a turn of the cliché, they wanted it less than Indianapolis did.

Indianapolis didn’t want this game? really?

Post-game reaction

Last week we must have had a dozen front page stories and FanPosts / FanShots go up right after the Pats game. This week, only the traditional game recap and a few of us gathering in this thread.

I don’t know about you all, but I am exhausted – 4 games by a combined 11 points? I’m not complaining about the W, but I fear that we are not as strong as it seems. I don’t want to lose to the Texans, but will feel “ok” about it if they first lose to the Titans tomorrow night.

No game is extremely important now

Since we’ve pretty much got the conference locked up barring craziness happening. I really want to go 16-0 but I also think that it could be distracting for such a young team.

I’d have banned him if he’d have gone to the slurs before people started using f-bombs with him. Let the trolls hang themselves people.
