Announcers
Call me biased, tell me I'm nitpicking, but did any other Colt's fan notice the way that Gumble and his co-host(Dierdolf??) called the game? it certainly seemed that they were angry when the Big Blue Machine even got a first down. However when Derek Mason, or Ray Rice even got 4 yards they were trying to pull a Gus Johnson/Steve Tasker......"and RICE BREAKS THROUGH THE SECONDARY".....however when Gary Brackett intercepted that pass, all Diedolf could talk about was how they DIDN'T call a "false start" on Baltimore, essentially giving them another chance....just kind of angered me, so I thought I'd ask.....
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Stampede Blue's writers or editors.

I kind of agree. One thing I noted was that there was about a two yard run for Baltimore, and the announcers said that Rice gained 4, and their phrasing made it sound like the Ravens were tearing off significant chunks. Pretty bad miss. The next drive they made it sound like Addai got stuffed when he gained about 4. I think they may have had it in their pregame “analysis” that the Colts couldn’t run the football or stop the run, and that colored their play-by-play.
to be fair
there were a couple of runs where rice ‘gained 2’ and was given 4. There was one play in particualr where someone dove down short of the first down, by about a yard, and they spotted it 2 yards past the yard to gain marker. So /shrug.
Never doubt Peyton Manning, he’ll make you look silly
Im a douchebag, an asshole, and I'm rarely right.
meh
I hardly listen to them any more, because I’m so busy whooping and hollering at the plays
How can you not love a team that does this?
kinda disagree
I think it’s safe to say that Dierdoff has a mancrush on Manning and his WRs. He has always gushed over them through the years. I remember him calling the Vikes and Texans (road) games in 2008 and you could almost hear his jaw dropping when Colts pulled both comebacks out. Gumble is Gumble. Just smooth play-by-play calls; never really saying much in terms of analysis or POV. I think they are solid as CBS #2 announcing crew (and I think we get them agan next Sunday).

I couldn't hear a word they said,
I was too busy having a palpatating heart.
"You can't defend the perfect throw, what can I say?" Peyton quoting Marino
"As I grow older, the list of people who can kiss my ass grows longer"-Ancient Hoosier Proverb.
My favorite was...
The Dierdorf call on the Clark TD. Gumble was gushing about a catch and Dan goes “Stop It!” LOVED THAT!!!
My wife and I thought the announcers were kinder to the Colts than most.
They seemed to like the team, especially Manning and the WRs.
They made some very complimentary remarks about the NFL's most unsung LB Gary Brackett
But the Dierdorf crew is clownish at times anyway. They called the Pats-Miami game in Week 9 and Dierdorf made some excited comment about how he “was very surprised that the Patriots were going for it.” It was only 3rd down at the time. We were still laughing about it this Sunday while watching your Colts game.
Keep the faith!
LOL
Dierdorf has been making idiotic comments since I can remember. But that’s a doozy!
"I throw, you catch. It's NOT that hard!"

Listened to the radio
Always cracks me up when listening to the Indy guys and Peyton throws an interception or (last week) the opposition scores…
“…and Ed Reed makes the interception.”
