Most Ridiculous Thing I Ever Heard!

I just heard Tony Kornheiser say the following on PTI:

Star-divide

"The Patriots won the game at Indy. In my mind they virtually won the game. If they beat the Saints next week then they will have beat the best teams and will be the #1 team in the NFL."

I nearly fell out my recliner laughing at this lunatic. I have heard Tony and many other Patriot fans hate on the Colts but I have never heard such an insane line of reasoning!  I can't believe he said this on national television. I think this is hilarious.

I wish I had his phone number

If he can’t tell the difference between 35 and 34, I have a financial investment to talk to him about…

How can you not love a team that does this?

I have never heard anyone stretch the bounds of reason as far as Kornheiser did with that statement.

by colt_monger on Nov 23, 2009 6:32 PM EST reply actions

Well he did say "In his mind" man this is the season where the pundits get to make their money...

Thy make foolish and homerish predictions that sometimes are often so outlandish and wrong that you just laugh. Look the Patriots were dominant on offense. Everyone wants to look at Brady and what he did for three quarters. Just kindly remind them that football is a 60 minute game. If you play for 58 minutes and lose and the team that played 60 minutes and won, then to me that is the best team.

We are going to be underrated throughout the playoffs, unless we just simply continue to win. If we win, they keep talking, if we lose we prove them wrong…

It is up to the fans and this team to continue to win the games that matter the most… PERIOD!

Now, I enjoy Kornheiser on PTI

but he really needs to take a break from riding Brady’s d—k to realize that the Colts beat the Pats fair and square, and Belichick did not give them the game.

Peyton Manning makes it Wayne on them hoes!!!!

Man, if I said "dick" in response to that question, SpazMo, it would be pretty beyond the pale

So I won’t say it, or even suggest it. Seriously.

I hate Joe Namath. That's how long I've been a Colts fan.

I'm cool with the underdog and the "not as good as record role"

people will continue to underestimate us. Just like in 2006. Back then the media was the same way and look what happened. And I still hear people talk about the Colts being choke artists in the playoffs especially Patriot fans but ironically they are the biggest choke artists of all time hahahaha. Let’s stay underdogs and prove everyone wrong just like in ’06. Go Colts.

Back when I was picking beans in Guatemala, we used to make fresh coffee, right off the trees I mean. That was good. This is shit but, hey, I'm in a police station.

Kornheiser is an idiot

This is a guy who has been around making these stupid comments for years. Do you guys remember him on MNF? It was so painful to listen to him. Thank god the Bucs fired Gruden and MNF got him in there to replace Kornheiser.

With that said. I believe the Patriots are the 2nd best team in football. Call me crazy. I think the Pats will beat the Saints next week . No disrespect to the Saints, but I do not look at them in the same way as the Pats and Colts.

No matter how you look at this we are staring at another AFC championship game between us and the Patriots. This is what football is all about and this is why the NFL is the best professional sports league in the world.

You should ask him

Who was the better team in week 10, Steelers or Chiefs?
Bengals or Raiders?

Oh no!

Dear Tony

Let’s make a deal. You can keep the moral victory and we’ll keep the W.
Kthx.
Love,
Reddogfred

PS
I went to college with Kornheiser’s son. Well, I’ve graduated, he’s still there. a) The son is a stuck up d-bag, but that means he just fits in at that school. b) My friend helped Tony and son move the kid into the freshmen dorms. Usually the way this works is we have move-in helpers who help get the belongings quickly and efficiently into the building. The family is responsible for moving the stuff in. When the Kornheisers were moving in, they just stared at my friend expecting him to do it all for him and made snide comments when my friend explained a second time that’s not how it works. Even for powerful movers and shakers in the world, like sports commentators. Moral is: he’s an entitled schmuck, so it doesn’t surprise me that when he can’t have it his way, ie the Patriots lose, he creates a fantasyland where they still did.

I would love nothing more than to sit down with Kornhoser and Skip

and just prove them wrong to their faces on every patriot homer remark they have made this season. Kornheiser said after the Patriots beat the RAVENS (that’s the right, the team they beat by 6 at home when Mark Clayton dropped a pass in his chest) that they were the best team in the NFL. They proceeded to go to Denver the following week and get their ass handed to them by Kyle Orton.

Funny how that idiot works. They beat the Ravens at home, barely, and there was a crucial drop by Ravens WR Mark Clayton that costs them the game. After this, the Pats are the best team. Keep in mind that this is when Bal was undefeated and this wasn’t a must win for them.

Fast forward to present day, a place Kornheiser refuses to travel to. We beat the Ravens at Baltimore in a game they had to win to keep any hope of a playoff appearance in check. The offense plays below their standards, but the D plays great. They don’t score a touch down on us (they scored 3 against NE at NE). And we are lucky.

So a crucial drop, that if caught, may have led the Ravens to victory against NE. Yet it was dropped, and NE is the best team. We hold them scoreless on a day where our offense was less than perfect, and we are just lucky one more week. Kornheiser is a tool and I would love to punch him square in the nose and fix that nasally girl voice of his.

I listened to the podcast

since I missed the 15 mins of the show, but that clown had the nerve to say that the Colts’ D looked suspicious?! We forced the Ravens to kick 5 FGs and had a goal line stance, how is that suspicious?! That goodness, Wilbon has some sense.

Peyton Manning makes it Wayne on them hoes!!!!

I'm sorry

who stopped Tom Brady on four downs? And who was so scared of Peyton Manning that they started making risky calls?

The Pats are good, but they got straight-up beat. Period.

by slash196 on Nov 24, 2009 4:16 AM EST reply actions

Funny thing is that

Peyton got us within 6 points in the 4th quarter. If he wasn’t the best ever, the 4th and 2 would not have happened anyway. It amazes me that these “experts” seem to forget that.

That's a relief

I thought that we would have to play a whole season, plus a postseason and a Super Bowl to find out who the best team is. I’m glad that Tony could save us the trouble of actually playing all those games. Now we can just give the Lombardi trophy to the Pats and go watch basketball instead.

Fuck it, let’s just give it to the Pats every year. It’s all so simple! Thanks, Tony!

Remember when the Patriots were beating us 34-0 this past week

until they went for it on fourth down and we were given that 35 point play? We were lucky. Good thing we didn’t have to score those points traditionally like they did throughout the game. Just one play and we are given a lucky win after our abysmal performance.

I shudder to think how bad we’d be if we had to put our pants on one leg at a time like everyone else in the NFL…

by coltsfanawalt on Nov 24, 2009 11:15 AM EST reply actions

NICE!

I was having trouble figuring out how we won that game. That 35 point play explains it all! Man, I’m glad we got that cleared up.

by emiller17 on Nov 24, 2009 11:20 AM EST up reply actions

ummm....

Even Patriots fans aren’t saying that they “beat” indy (in fact, we’re trying to forget that game ever happened.) One more piece of evidence why Tony K did not belong on Monday Night Football.

Keep the faith!
