What is SOV
My guess is Strength of Victory, but how is that calculated?

you and Bob have it right
winning percentage of teams you’ve beaten.
Luck is probability taken personally, clutch is probability attributed to individuals.

SOV would be the winning percentage of the teams you have beaten, no?
Anyway, I love this line-up—Pitt and SD hammering each other in the first round? Good game for fans and a good game to beat the shit out of each team before the next round.
Pats have an easier time with the Jags (Pats/Steelers would be ideal, IMO, as both a fan of the game and a Colts fan).
Remaining SOS is a big issue here to see how that cluster of 7-3 shakes out.
The Jags? Can I be reading that right? I bet they don’t hold on, and Pitt advances to #5 and has Polamalu healthy for the post season, making them a different team. Broncos/Ravens eventual #6?
I hate the fact that we seem to have an easier slate than the Saints to close out the season. I don’t really want to go 16-0, but I guess if any team is equipped to do so, it’s us.
I hate Joe Namath. That's how long I've been a Colts fan.

my prediction
I don’t know each team’s remaining schedule, and am too tired to look it up, but here’s how I think the seeding will pan out.
1 Indianapolis
2 New England
3 San Diego
4 Cincinnati
5 Pittsburgh
6 Jacksonville

You mean the 9-7 Vince Youngs
We’re gonna beat him like the unruly stepchild he is.

That sucks
I was hoping we would catch Houston tired and happy off their win over the Titans. I know, fat chance, but I was hoping.
Now they’re going to be pissed as hell. They know they coulda-shoulda beat the Titans, just like they coulda-shoulda beat the Colts in Indy, and on top of that they’re fighting to salvage any hope of making the playoffs. This is going to be a bone crushing game.
Never approach a vast undertaking with a half-vast plan.

Remember when...
…Caldwell and McDaniels were the first coaches in however long to start their careers 6-0? A lot can change in a month.

The current standings would be very similiar to the AFC teams in the playoffs from 07’. Replace Cincy this year to the Titans in 07’ and the same teams would be in the playoffs from the AFC (not taking into account the seedings).

Current #3 San Diego (7-3) may stay ahead of the Pats for the #2 seed,
they have by far the easiest schedule, Cinncinnati, @Dallas, and @Tennessee are their toughest games.
They should win out. They’re hotter than Cincy, I think.
Current #2 Bengals (7-3) have @MINN, @San Diego, and @NYJets.
They will drop at least one game.
Current #4 Pats (7-3) have @New Orleans, @Miami, and @ Houston.
I give them a 50-50 chance of dropping one game.
Current #5 Jaguars (6-4) have Houston, Miami, @ COLTS, and @New England.
They will lose two of those.
Current #6 Steelers (6-4) have Baltimore home and away, and @ Miami.
I give them a 50-50 chance of dropping one of the Ravens games.
Current #7 Denver (6-4) has NYGiants, @Kansas City, @COLTS, and @ Philly.
They will lose 3.
I don’t see the Ravens or Texans, both 5-5 making up enough ground for a wild card, the Ravens have Pittsburgh twice and @ Green Bay, the Texans have the Colts and Patriots, as well as @ Jax and @ Miami.
So I predict;
- COLTS
- San Diego
- New England
- Bengals
- Pittsburgh
- Jacksonville (I know, right?)

Out on a limb here...
but I have a feeling Pittsburgh could slip out of the picture all together if they don’t get their act together…..Right now there are several teams at 6-4/5-5 that could easily over take them…

It could happen
They played terrible last sunday, but their remaining schedule is;
at Baltimore
Oakland
at Cleveland
Green Bay
Baltimore
at Miami

If Troy P
doesn’t return soon, they could easily lose to GB, Balt and Miami.
