Week Twelve Thanksgiving Day Early Game- Open Thread

The Lions take on the Packers in the early game which will likely be a big deal in the area where my in-laws are celebrating Thanksgiving: The Upper Peninsula in Michigan. Lots of Packers and Lions fans up there. Much love to the two of them. I trust my father-in-law is listening to the game on satellite radio while helping his wife prep the meal.

This is your open thread. Enjoy. Happy Thanksgiving.

Cliff Avril is good though

if we could re-do, he’d be my pick in the Pollak slot.

hey a horsecollar tackle call where the guy was actually inside the pads

though he might have brought him down sideways instead of back

I don't think anyone was over the slot WR so a quick screen makes sense

but Delmas got there quick from his safety spot despite the outside CB getting taken way out of the play

i think Rogers was worried about taking the hit

he didn’t audible to slants. saw the guy in the flat and threw to him

Stafford's arm isn't as strong as he thinks it is

he must think he has a literal cannon attached to his shoulder to try that throw

while he was ~10 yards deep in the backfield

their DBs are terrible

and they really need a LT. Pettigrew over Oher might not have been the wrong pick, but it looks that way right now.

hmm

I’m tempted to turn off the game and play some NCAA (though I probably can’t top last night. Picked off 7 passes, 5 for TDs including 100 and 104 yard returns.)

I had a 100 yard pass at Michigan (IU) a couple of days ago (Road to Glory).

Picks come fast and often in NCAA 10. If you can get pressure on the QB, they spazz. Of course, so does your QB, too.

I'm still playing 08

Since the gameplay doesn’t have anything that really bothers me and don’t really care about the roster updates since they aren’t that good for college and with the turnover the rosters are unrecognizable within a year or two anyway.

Honestly, I bet you could probably find some sicko who's keeping 08's rosters current.

10’s the first one I’ve bought in 6 years. I like the crazyness of the option in ‘04. So, for 10 is a huge upgrade, but I probably won’t buy it again for a few years.

Lions almost sucked me back in (have gamecenter up while I’m playing NCAA. Quick drive down to the 1. 4th and 1 (if the kicked the FG was I closing gamecenter and totally giving up on the game) and they fail.

The full quote is better
"The greatest happiness is to scatter your enemy, to drive him before you, to see his cities reduced to ashes, to see those who love him shrouded in tears, and to gather into your bosom his wives and daughters."

Oh and TD Lions.
