Chris Polian named Colts GM
Chris Polian was named the Colts GM today. He has worked his way up through the ranks to the front office, and will succeed Bill Polian when he leaves. This insures a smooth transition when Bill Polian leaves. I cannot think of a better person to continue what Polian has done than someone who was trained by Polian. Hopefully, when the time comes, they will find a capable replacement for # 18. If we are able to accomplish that, we can continue our level of excellence for the next 10 to 15 years.

this news has been out since the days
Irsay said that would happen when peyton retires, oh and his daughter would become in charge of the colts too, so its a good thin and a bad thing because the day Big Money P retires not only r we loosing him but weer also loosin irsay and polian, n the good thing is da theyr keepin it in the family so weer gonna have little miss irsay and young mr polian runnin the colts we just need baby peyton to run the offense

"hopefully they will find a capable replacement for #18"
They already have, he wears #12 already. :P

Keep an eye on Painter...
He showed some skills and he is learning under P. Money (is there really a better QB “coach” in the NFL?). Wouldn’t be surprised, later in P.‘s career, that Painter might take some of the snaps with plays designed (by P. and Moore) just for him and to give P. some relief, not unlike our RB’s. I’m sure some of you may poo-poo that idea, but it would definitely extend P.‘s career and health to share as he gets older. It would also keep opposing defenses on their toes. Look at the Wildcat as an example, although I don’t think that would be the style of offense they would design around Painter. Thoughts?
