Are MNF announcers as bad as I think they are?
After watching MNF last night, I came away with a dreadful thought. I actually found myself wishing Tony Kornheiser would miraculously return to the booth, and that Jon Gruden would NEVER come back.
His little nicknames for the major players were dumb and dumber. The surgeon, for Drew Brees. The Joker, for Shockey, and Gonzalez. To drive home his point he put on a Joker mask. Silly to the extreme.
I do have a mute button on my TV control, should I hit it?
Does Gruden irritate anyone else? Your thoughts? BTW- Jaws is irritating as well.

YES!!!!
Gruden was incredibly annoying throughout calling the entire game…especially with his idiotic nicknames, and his mispronunciation of Gonzalez’s last name time and time again! What an idiot…and yeah, Korny would even be better…blah!

Man, I need a life...
Random fact of the week from the empty void that is my mind: Viz Media (The creators of my absolute favorite show of all-time and inspiration to my avatar, Naruto) just announced a partnership with the channel Disney XD to bring the English-dubbed episodes of Naruto Shippuden (The continuation of the Naruto series) to that station with a new episode airing each week, starting, well, NOW. With the series recording I just put on it, this is one of the greatest days I've had in a long time. I'm not kidding. I love the show that much.

He's always been annoying
and always will I’m guessing. MNF has definitely hit an all-time low.

That was awful.
They really sounded my 12 years old repeating the same stuff over and over again.
I mean the sheriff thing was good because it was original but the surgeon and the joker… come on now. He made every player sound like the greatest player at his position.
My christmas gift list:
Gruden gets a head coaching job (so he leaves espn)
The other two get caught in the sex scandal and are fired by ESPN.

I don't mind him.
Other than the “this guy” phrase being overrused.

You won't have to put up with him long...
I am sure some desperate team will hire him in the offseason. My money is on Washington, cause they can’t get anyone GOOD to even talk to them about the job.

What,
you don’t consider Gruden a good coach?
Hmmmm……you may have a point there.

That's a good point, he'll probably end up coaching next year, he knows a LOT about football.
Washington, or maybe the Raiders?

Gruden
Can be irritating, but his insights are waaaayyyy better than Cornholer.

I agree with Tim.
I like Gruden more than Jaws and definitely more than Kornheiser.

I like Jaws...
Gruden does not bother me too much.

Jaws aka "Mr. Too Much Botox" and Gruden are the worst game callers ever. Hands down
I can’t stand anything they say.
Don't question my fandominium.

Well I sure do like gruden better than cornheiser. If for nothing else he doesnt compare tom brady to manning 72 times in one half!!!!! I got so sick of the brady manning talk from cornheiser, that i did mute the t.v. and turned on the radio and listened to bob lamey. I was so relieved when cornhole was gone. Thank God for small miracles.

To be a good announcer in the National Football League you have to be able to bring it on every play, like this guy. I call him the Jaws, because he’s gonna eat your football soul until you watch every game on mute, while huddled in the corner in the fetal position, BAM.
