Maybe Edge can take Brown under his wing?
Edge has just been released by the Seahawks! Any of you guys are thinking what I'm thinking?
Since there are some that are picky about shots and posts lets see if anyone here agrees with one thing. Does anyone here think maybe we should cut Chad Simpson and let Edge have a shot for a while. I mean sure he's been doing good. However, maybe the presence of Edge might pay dividends in helping Donald Brown develop into a great player.
What are your opinions?

I agree with hoosier in sodak.
FanShots are for quick links where you don’t have much to say, FanPosts are for analysis or for when you can write 75 words about it.
That “Go Colts! Go Colts! Go Colts! Go Colts! Go Colts! Go Colts! Go Colts! Go Colts! Go Colts! Go Colts! Go Colts! Go Colts! Go Colts! Go Colts! Go Colts!” thing is one of my biggest pet peeves.
Now a proud annoyance on Stampede Blue, 18to88, Indy Football Report, and Phil B's blog.
Man, I need a life...
Random fact of the week from the empty void that is my mind: Viz Media (The creators of my absolute favorite show of all-time and inspiration to my avatar, Naruto) just announced a partnership with the channel Disney XD to bring the English-dubbed episodes of Naruto Shippuden (The continuation of the Naruto series) to that station with a new episode airing each week, starting, well, NOW. With the series recording I just put on it, this is one of the greatest days I've had in a long time. I'm not kidding. I love the show that much.

That his career is probably over and he won't rise any higher on the all time list?
Great, now I’m sad…

Simpson is alot cheaper
And i really dont see Edge signing to be a 3rd string RB that will never see the field in games when Addai and Brown are both healthy and playing. Why cut someone whos one of our few kick returners and has potential for Edge way past his prime to sit the bench

According to ColtsCap
Simpson will make $362,353. Edge has a base salary of $1 million. The Colts have $3,409,261 to play with. I say we take the risk. He’s worth the money. Edge is averaging just a little more yards than Addai (this is not a shot at Addai…just sayin). I know the Colts gave Edge a SB ring, but how much more special would it be if he could CONTRIBUTE to the next one? And then he can retire a Colt if he so chooses. I just think it would be a good thing for this team and for Edge. But then again, maybe I’m crazy
Bob Sanders does not play Hide-and-Seek, He plays HIDE and PRAY-HE-DOES-NOT FIND-YOU!

Hey, Bill Polian! Bring Back Egde for Indianapolis Colts Stretch Run! by Kent Sterling
There are many thread about edge now , so no ned to make another ill just post this as a comment on each
he Seattle Seahawks waived Colts all-time leading rusher Edgerrin James, and the Colts are down a back-up halfback. I have no idea what Edge has left in the tank, but he has to be able to move the pile a yard, doesn’t he?
Edge knows the offense, and the town. The fans love him. Bring him back so he can retire a Colt and walk away with another ring – or at least give him a great chance at one.
The Colts have never really had a great player they could bring back for that last hurrah, and as a practicing dramatist I like the idea of Edge running that stretch play one more time and picking up a big first down to seal the deal in a playoff game or the Super Bowl.
Edge averaged 2.7 yards per carry, and Joseph Addai is at 3.3. Not a big difference unless you wind up two feet short of a first down on third and ten-feet. We know Edge can block and catch.
I’m one of the idiots who would have let Willie Mays pinch hit in the 1973 World Series with the game on the line. Mets Manager Yogi Berra knew better, but still lost. I would even have signed Ernie Banks at the age of 53 in time to stick him on the playoff roster for the 1984 Cubs. I want Brian Cashman to re-sign Bernie Williams right now so he can play in Game Six and Seven (if necessary, and it won’t be).
I want magic. I want drama. I want a Hollywood ending for a career that really helped solidify the Indianapolis Colts as one of the premier franchises in the NFL. I want Bill Polian, the best executive in sports, to abandon his core principle and allow emotion to enter into the equation for this team.
