Charlie Weis fired as Notre Dame Coach!

There has been reports that Charlie Weis has been fired as the head coach for Notre Dame.  I know the Colts have an offensive coordinator but no word yet whether or not he will return to Indianapolis after the season. If Tom Moore does not return should the Colts try and get Charlie Weis as the offensive coordinator? I would love to see him in Colts blue if Tom Moore decides not to return . I do know the WR coach Clyde Christensen was promoted to OC but doesn't take on those responsibilities.

If memory serves,

Tom Moore has already stated that he will continue coaching “as long as they let me” while Howard Mudd does plan on retiring after this season.

I like the people we have, personally.

Tom Moore

has already said he will be here as long as he is wanted here. Which will be at least as long as Peyton is around. Howard Mudd has said he’s not returning. So no Weis for the Colts

Ok, i didnt know he was slated to come back already.

I do hate some of the Colts playcalling. Especially 1st and goal at the 1 and we run a stretch play and lose a few yards. Sometimes it makes me wonder what would happen if we had a different OC. Don’t get me wrong, Tom Moore is AWESOME! And this has nothing to do with the OL. But what if would happen if Weis was our OC? What changes would you think he could make to make us better? If any?

I would love to have Weis if only to keep him from other teams

but I have this feeling he’s already on a flight from Indianapolis to New Orleans for tonight’s game.

How can you not love a team that does this?

No, oh sweet God and sunny Jesus no...

CW’s oversized ego has no place on the Colts. I don’t care how good he is, he can go back to the Pats for all I care.

Well, maybe we could use him

if NFL championships ever devolve into a playground competition won by whichever team’s staff cannot be budged off a see-saw. Weis would be our anchor. If the wood holds up.

Unless Mark Mangino makes it to the pros. Then all bets are off.

In other words, no, thanks.

Tom Moore forever.

I hate Joe Namath. That's how long I've been a Colts fan.

Isn't Peyton Manning basically your offensive coordinator?

Seriously, wtf does Moore do?

Maybe he helps game plan during the week

At best all he does is recommend plays during the games.

Moore >> Weis

hell, even though I don’t have much experience with the man (Weis), I’d even say that Christensen > Weis.

Damn..

I wanted Weis to say. Just so all my ND friends will keep quiet about how great they are. Their ALMOST as bad as Patriot fans.

We're out there for 60 minutes. In that 60 minutes you can be gods or you can be smucks. And I want to be a god. How bout you?

I hate to say it

We could run the wildcat

Imagine the possibilities. We could put Peyton at WR, and have our running backs run for 3 yard gains and completely disrupt the flow of the offense. We could have 2 really good wide receivers, a great QB, and watch the offense disappear in games. I can’t wait!!

hmmmm....Manning at WR?
